Blame The Gun is exactly the type of hyperbolic, bombastic, sounds good but totally untrue and nonsensical slogan used by puppeteers everywhere.
When Sharpton or JJ do it, you think they are evil. If Rush or Bill "Killing History" O'Reilly or the rest of your programmers do it, you (collectively...) rush to repeat their BS as some kind of Divinely Inspired Wisdom.
It is not.
It is BS, untrue, and simple-minded.
I have no problem calling the SB attacks Islamic Terrorism, the Charleston massacre of innocents Racially Motivated, or attacks on Planned Parenthood either Christian or Religiously Inspired Terrorism, as the case may be.

I have firearms. I have no desire or inclination to harm anyone other than in a self defensive response.
I've hunted, target shot, carried many times and never once did I have a motive or desire to harm anyone with a firearm.
During my life there have been situations with friends and loved ones who were seriously and grievously wronged and never once was I motivated or inclined to pick up a firearm to right the wrong.

The Times reporter also interviewed a close relative of Dears Colorado girlfriend Stephanie Bragg, who said the couple were very religious, read the Bible often and are always talking about scripture. The two reportedly lived in a trailer marked with a small cross, and that Bragg couldnt believe Dear was capable of such things.
Nevertheless, Bragg told the relative she had a theory as to what drove her boyfriend to murder several people in cold blood: He believed he was doing Gods will, and Im sure he probably wanted to die in the process of carrying out what Im sure he thought was right.
