Huh. That source says only 73 mass shootings since 1982. What happened to 300+ mass shootings this year?... Isn't Mother Jones the uber-liberal bible?700UW said:

No one ever blamed the gun
Some believe that tougher gun laws would make a difference in how many or who have access to guns to commit crimes and mass shooting with.
No One ever blamed the gun.
That is a stupid slogan for stupid people.

Abolish all of them.
Law and Order types seem to think that laws do make a difference, laws like three strikes provisions, and tougher sentences for crimes committed with a gun, and tougher sentences for crimes committed near a school, criminalization of marijuana, even speed limits.
Except when it comes to gun regulations, then laws are irrelevant.
What sense does that make?
Logically, why wouldn't some common sense knowledge and skills requirement combined with a truly universal background check make some difference. Criminals might still have guns. None of the shooters in these "mass shootings" were "criminals" until the shooting. They were all "mentally unstable" - according to the right wing apologists.
No One Ever Blamed The Gun
That is Just Stupid
Ifly2 said:How do the words "Islamic Terrorism" fit in a reply to a post about the idiocy of the "blame the gun" slogan?
Blame The Gun is exactly the type of hyperbolic, bombastic, sounds good but totally untrue and nonsensical slogan used by puppeteers everywhere.
When Sharpton or JJ do it, you think they are evil. If Rush or Bill "Killing History" O'Reilly or the rest of your programmers do it, you (collectively...) rush to repeat their BS as some kind of Divinely Inspired Wisdom.
It is not.
It is BS, untrue, and simple-minded.
I have no problem calling the SB attacks Islamic Terrorism, the Charleston massacre of innocents Racially Motivated, or attacks on Planned Parenthood either Christian or Religiously Inspired Terrorism, as the case may be.

How many times have you personally said or sang "God is Great"?
About or in worship of the very same Being?
