She did not really have a choice in the matter. Either fight or not. I think the term hero is a bit over used. The Apollo guys are heros. Kerry, McCain and all the other that came before them and after are heros. They willing placed their lives on the line.

Giffords was a victim like thousands of others. She had rhetorically good fortune to have excellent universal tax payer funded insurance. She had it much much better than those who get shot, stated or other wise maimed and end up in a county hospital.

How does that make her a hero? I define a hero as someone who makes a choice to place others above themselves. Giffiords was a victim. I can see her as a role model for those who have debilitating injuries but I do not see the hero part.

Like Tree said, she was a victim. It's the Demorats that want her to be known as a Hero, hence why her name shows up in the chart, this is all referring to ( See post #126 )....................understand now Dog................probably not !
Besides, when's the last time the Demorats had a "Real" hero, besides John "Swift Boat" Kerry ?
