Bitter? You're one to talk! Bother way, EMBFA is not bitter. She's right, your're wrong, and you can't handle that! At least she has her stories straight you pilot wannabe but never will be. Furthermore, she has been through more with this company than you have and she is still in good spirits and is one of the most professional f/as I know. PHL BULL, you my dear need help.

girls, girls, please. simmer down. Y'all are just being ugly now.

I was a reserve for the better part of seventeen years. I have put in my time. I would definitely vote against
any system that put me back on it, even for a month. Once every other reserve has put in their "tour of duty" (minimum of 15years reserve) then come back and we'll talk. In the mean time  !

Having said that, I think this system is horrible and no one should be on it longer than 6 months.
The whole reserve system has to change. But I will not vote to go back on it, like I said, I have done my time.

Well, that still puts your butt behind my 18 1/2 years on rsv. I would vote YES on rotating rsv. I, by know am an expert at all of the systems we have had here since 1989. I am not for slamming all the ones behind me, which if you check youe senoirity date, is junior to me. I am for slowly letting people rotate out of and into BH status.

true statement...I agree EMBFA needs help...a very bitter person he/she is

I do need help. Let me ring the call bell, *ding*

Can you get me a pillow stewardess? Do you have a boyfriend? I just love "Will and Grace" by the way!

As for the tour of duty, I'm not doing 15 years of reserve because you were stupid enough to... why should USAir be different from all the other carriers? Just because you were too dumb to vote for at least industry standard for yourself doesn't mean we have to suffer. Sounds like someone else is bitter, sorry you're old and sat by the phone for a decade and a half... morons.

And this is what our customers have to deal with? Jeez

We really do have some immature "safety professionals" in the ranks.

The time has come for this issue to be SERIOUSLY looked at. We cannot, as Union Members, continue to remain aloof to the plight of OUR RESERVE F/As. I am not comfortable with Brother and Sister Union Members making poverty wages or working 25 days a month to make a decent income. Additionally, we cannot expect them to be comfortable with the current Reserve System year, after year, after year, after year,.......Reserve F/As are dues paying members of our Union and they pay for representation from our Union Leaders.

I urge Mike Flores, as our leader, to reconsider his position and to seriously consider a ROTATING RESERVE SYSTEM!
The Reserve System is a terrible environment for anyone to work under. People being on Reserve like they are here at US is ridiculous........never having a holiday off, rarely having a weekend off. If the day comes when they need to start hiring around here- NO ONE would want to come to work here. And the WEST system isn't any better from what I was told.....actually worse. Some will argue "Well, You have to pay your dues. I did!" What like 30-60 days? Some people have been on reserve almost 18 years, give or take a month. Even at MY seniority (27years) I have no problem with a Rotational System. I wonder how Thindy Atkins feels about it  ?!

Thindy aside........There is no doubt that our reserve system is a train wreck. Serious thought has to be put into it's improvement and sniping at each other is counter productive and proves to the company that we are weak and have no resolve.

So just stop it. I'm sick of it. Put aside your petty BS and start acting like a team. If you want improvements....put your knoggins together and pull the yoke together. Otherwise the company will have you over a barrel again.

United We Stand Divided We Fall...........

Isn't rotating F/As into Reserve Duty (except the most senior F/As), either a few days/month or for a month at a time every 4 months, the industry norm? It seems to work at other airlines.....why not here?

The problem is that approximately 75% of the FA's are blockholders and I don't think there is any way whatsoever that 1/3 of them would support any contract or plan that would expose them to reserve.
The survey should only go out to the people it might effect. Why should a 40 year f/a care about rotating rsv. They should not be included in a survey. it would skew the numbers.

Because we have a union leadership that sucks and will not allow change that potentially would cause them or their blockholder counter parts to do anything to help the reserves. Yes Mike I am refering to you!!!

Our union is too concerned about our self centered BH"S. As if they have come close to paying the dues that we have. If you want rotating rsv brought up, it's up to MF and our LEC's to do it. We pay our $39 just like everyone else. It's called "fair representation".

Because US's unions, like the airline, has NEVER thought like a big boy, major airline, but like a clique-y hometown regional airline.

there are people who say they have 18 years and are on reserve maybe another base, All we have said is if you are a full time b/h 9all year) it will not reach you. but for b/h sometime reserve and of course the straigh reserve it would make sense to know you are on res 3-6 days a month and build a block for the rest. it would make sense since the planes would be staffed. every b/h who does not hold it all year prefers to rotate as opposed to be on reserve for months at a time

Agreed, but those airlines have *always* had the rotation..... Can we sell it here? I am doubtful, but willing to try.... Hmm.....
