Just read in the Northwest Forum that they are selling some Airbus aircraft,
Could they be heading this way?
Just Speculation.

Why would we want to buy 9 used A319s. Our EMBs are taking over most of the 100-130 seat markets now. We need widebodies. If they were selling A330s, that would be another story.....but they ain't 😉

Could it be these Airbuses would be used as replacement aircraft for some of the 737's that will soon be leaving the property ?

I heard NWA is selling their Airbuses because they are too new and bring the average age of their fleet to an unacceptably low level. B)

That is a good one--makes perfect sense.

I also heard they are shopping for 727's and 707s again as well--talk about a retro airline!

My BEST to you all...

Hey can US add a fuel tank in order to use those suckers for Eastern Europe and beyond. Tel Aviv here we come. Load the passengers just don't take their bags. The 319's can be TRUE international growth airplanes.

If Lindbergh can make it an A319 could too. How many stops did he make?

Hell we will be doing Tel Aviv turns in those 319's!! Pack a few more seats in, double provisioned out of PHL with three BOB services and 6 drink services!!!
