You have an obligation to report that to the FAA. It is a malicious and reckless forging of a federal document and reflects directly on a pilots flight/duty time requirements.

The truth is...

I did everything I knew to do. I called leaders in this company, I contacted a regional manager, I emailed the proof to a director of safety management and talked with him on the phone twice. When the company reveled my name to the manager, he told the supervisors. It created an extremly hostile environment. I even went to the station manager who was involved and pretended that I did not know about his involvement in hopes he would do the right thing and clean up the station.

There is nothing I can do now because the station manager and the supervisor that I reported to the company retaliated against me and filed a fraudulet sexual harrassment claim against me and then suspended me. My name, reputation, and spotless record is all I have and I can't fight when the station manager and two of the three supervisors have colabrated together in this horrible, revengeful act. I had no choice but to quit. I will not have my good name and reputation ruined by these kind of people.

Best to all of you. Always do the right thing and continue to care about the success of your company and the continued employment of your fellow co-worker. Other employees there, outraged over what happened to me, have contacted the EEOC and have, along with the state, filed charges this against the company, the station manager, and one supervisor. Maybe they can do what I was unable to do. Wish them luck, they are good people working to make a difference.
 
The ACARS can not be turned off. It is wired to the aircraft hot battery bus.
The inputs can be turned off and otherwise messed with, easily. And that is on the mini-bus. I don't know if you know, but, US utilizes other aircraft than just the mini-bus and they are set up differently <gasp>!

I once, just through normal procedures, got a block time less than actual flight time showing on the ACARS screen on the mini-bus. Pretty cool. The FO took a picture of that for the write-up. If you wanted to mess with the ACARS, it is pretty easy, though illegal, as a result, you won't find out anything from me. 🙄
 
How does a CSR have a duty to report directly to the FAA? They aren't licensed or credentialed by the FAA and therefore not directly or personally obligated to do any such thing. A better question is why any pilot would do any such thing when they are personally licensed by the FAA and, also, their pay and credit hours are directly tied to block time?
You are kidding, right?

You see Dick Cheney skulking through an airport with a shotgun and a six-pack missing a can (Bush) and you have no "duty" to report it because you are not credentialed by the TSA, say what? YHGTBFSM. :blink:

Someone fraudulently attempting to cash a ticket and you will not report it because you are not credentialed as a, what, CPA?

and, why would someone who is committing a fraud (the pilot) turn themselves in? Guilt?

No, it is up to the person seeing the problem to inform the appropriate authorities. Yes, it requires you to know ethics and rules and, most of all, it requires that you think! Confront the person first (if you safely can), inform them and allow them to resolve the issue. After that, if no resolution, game on.

Authoritarians are always looking to expand their turf.

Never overlook the power of the media. Sometimes the Court of Public Opinon is the best venue in which to raise these issues. Expose your station for what it is.

This is what happens, time and again, with this company. I hope you are involved and satisfied with the eventual resolution.

There are quite a few good people at US. I see many ignoring criminal activities (being good guys?) until it affects them, then they cannot understand why no one will help them.......
 
CLT CS AGENT's remarks speak to the continuing fundamental problem with Tempe. They are inveterate liars encased in incredulous arrogance. I'm gonna say that a good part of the numbers reflect better ops, but I do indeed believe that Tempe continues to lie and cook the books. Hence the improvement the numbers suggest do not reflect the reality on the ground. I also suspect that lots of airlines play the same game.

Actualy what CLT said would emply the employees are lying not Tempe and I am sure Tempe wouldn't tolarate a Manager lying to make his station look good when it is not. Not to mention there are servere penalties if Officers of a company commit anything that investers could constue as fraud.

I could give you the code to get through the jetway in CLT, or at my last station...I can give you my employee number...I could provide you copies of the emails from a Director in the company whom I conversed with about what was going on at the station...I can provide PNR'S, FLIFO printouts, statments given under oath to a representative from the EEOC...I could provide a report from the Police at the airport to prove that they even found the marijuana...I could do alot to prove who I say I am and to prove what happened but I owe you NOTHING, and frankly I don't care if you believe it or not.

Happens too often to be unbelievable. Especially since Tempe took over. I am calling BS on you, sir!
 
Happens all the time. Not until this merger have I EVER seen anything like it. Guns on the ramp, drugs, hundreds of thousands of dollars of liquor stolen off of a/c. I absolutley believe CLT. I do give you a lot of credit. I too have gone to management; the bottom line is this: They don't care. Before this merger, USAir was selective in their hiring practices and hired pretty decent people, paid us very very well and had little to no problems. However, if there was, you were hauled off in handcuffs. Saw it happen. This company now turns a blind eye to everything. They do cook the books, big time. However, so does everyone else, but I don't know if it's to the degree we do.

This is COMPLETELY consistent with how customers are treated....

Spend $30K+ to fly 12 people plus in Envoy to Europe....nothing works right....FILTHY airplane....busted up cabin and seats.... horrendous food, wine & service...."we got you there, on time, with your luggage, can't wait to serve you again on another US Airways flight."

Pathetic...
