Pretty much, and the mindless zeal inherent in blindly and universally supporting either "side" never ceases to amaze me. I recall times when we were yet "kids" (and dinosaurs roamed) that political division existed, but people actually looked at the issues at times. 😉 Nowadays?....It's just "Bread and Circuses" to keep the masses both distracted and divided, while both "sides" do nothing of actual value to the citizenry, and seek only to increase their power and enrich themselves. The vast majority of people these days are just being successfully played for complete fools. The supposed "Democrats" are at best nothing more than appealing to half-arsed communists, and when's the last time anyone ever saw the "Republicans" act like anything of the sort of people that honestly believe in ideals and principles of ANY kind? Voting is now much akin to picking which flavor of poison to take.
