And there is no way to re-educate the terrorist or negotiate you must destroy them. That is the only thing they understand. You don't really believe if we became a country of Isolationism they would leave us alone. If you love your airline, sparky, its not going to stay on a profitable course (my prediction). Fear and just the element of surprise will KILL any economy. I can't imagine the public or business community standing in long lines for hours unless flying is absolutely neccessary.

I need to get some sleep, so I'm not going to list all I the flaws I perceive in your statement. I'm just going to take the last sentence and lay into you as quickly as possible, then maybe I'll flame you tomorrow if I'm still irritated enough.

When you suggest that "people like like (sic) you" will "kill people like (sic) me" what you are ultimately doing is bringing into question that person's loyalty, not only to the country they live in but to the ethics they live by.

Are you just tired and angry or did you just not think before you posted that statement? I think the answer lies somewhere in the middle, because as much as I personally find most of the Tempe cheerleaders on the board contemptible, I would never question their motivations to the point of suggesting they would perform some sort of terrorist act as a tool for an organization that's out to destroy America.

We'll get back to normal in a few days, and then we can continue to argue over the way US Airways does or does not work. In the meantime, I would humbly ask that you take a bit more time to consider what you are writing and posting, and make sure you aren't so carried away to suggest that posters with a different opinion are somehow putting the rest of us at some sort of risk.

FWIW, skepticism is still a good thing, folks. Questioning things we don't completely understand can be much better than blindly following what you are told. Consider that the next time any subject comes up that you aren't familiar with.

Flight 99 LGW-PHL departed 3 1/2 hours late and will arrive at 6:27pm, 2 hours and 52 minutes late.

Flight 95 LGW-CLT departed 4 hours late and is in range to land at CLT right now, at 6:16.

Flight 197 MAN-PHL departed 1 hour and 40 minutes late. It arrived in PHL 2 hours late at 3:59pm

Flight 563 GLA-PHL also departed 1 hour and 40 minutes late, and arrived PHL at 2:53pm.

The attacks in Russia had nothing to do with the Middle East problems in which the U.S. has entangled itself. The attacks in Russia were/are about separatist movements WITHIN Russia. These happen to be from predominantly Moslem parts of Russia that were unable to escape from Russia when the old Soviet Union broke up.

Just as the Kurds never had any desire to be part of a country called Iraq by the British occupiers who created Iraq, the people of Chechnya were conquered and occupied by the Russians. They don't want to/nor did they ever want to be part of Russia.

But I will continue by saying, when events like this happen, I believe airlines with a large/strong regional/commuter operation (US Airways Express)have a marketing advantage over airlines like Southwest/jetBlue. In Salisbury, for example, I saw the airport manager interviewed on local TV reminding passengers that, during any given hour, TSA has much fewer passengers to screen at SBY than say BWI or PHL and once you pass through security at SBY you enter PHL on the secured side of PHL. With the exception of some weather related delays all flights from SBY have operated on time with little security interuptions. I'd expect this is the same at other much smaller non-hub airports.

Consider what the TSA is advising passengers to do before arriving at the big airports. Arrive 2-hours early, which means if your driving from SBY to BWI to fly Southwest you need to leave your home in SBY 6 hours prior to departure time (a true 3-hour drive when considering any potential traffic probelms between SBY and BWI, time to park your vehcile in remote parking and take the bus to the terminal, and the requirement to arrive at the airline's ticket counter 2-hours prior to departure). Most of that travel time can be eliminated by arriving at the SBY 1-hour prior to departure and connecting through PHL and/or CLT.

Yes, I expect to hear replies about the awful baggage connections at PHL.
