In the past week, the station manager in IAD, RDU and MIA have resigned. What's the deal ?

😱 Maybe they can hear the footsteps coming all the way from PHX. I don't know who any of these managers were, but there have been many over the years that were not worthy of thier positions. I have worked under several Clueless Managers, who could not perform any jobs functions within their own stations. The best ones, let the employees do their job without getting too involved. When and if there is a problem, then step upto the plate and handle the situation. I will never forget my first Station Mgr. He used to get involved with checking in people at the gate, and then he would put most of the tickets that he pulled into his pocket and head back to his office. I can't even count how many times we had problems with the final counts due to this "Help" that he gave us. One day a fellow agent of mine asked him "Don't you have any paperwork to do in your office?".....and away he went....

oh wait till you see the "NEW" Dividend Mile changes... you'll see a lot more people leaving USAirways, and unfortunately they're the ones we dont want leaving!

When are they being announced? Besides, the extra charge for certain seats, what other changes are we to expect?

Silvers and Golds are being shown the door... and told to open their wallets, well actually everyone will be told to share their wallets.

Just another major devaluation of miles.

just one eye opener for the changes:

kiss your upgrades goodbye on mileage tickets of any level, unless yer willing to pay.

Are you talking about Old East mgrs?
Or West mgrs?

And no free upgrade on awards tickets has been policy for quite awhile.

If they follow NW down that road, expect the silvers and golds (in hub markets) to beat a line to the exits.

Sorry guys but I really haven't seen any major changes coming to Elite frequent flyers. As a matter of fact, the way West does it you guys will like it much much better once the computer systems are joined. Since I came to the West side before the merge I can tell you how suprised I was that the Elite didn't complain half as much as they did on the East side. As a matter of fact I just learned that if you're a chairman you get priority standby if you try and go earlier. You'll be wise to make a copy of that from the benefit page of the Elite benefits. I was truly shocked to find this out the other day. I think that's cool. A good perk. Give it a chance guys. Your fares are dropping from what you paid on the East side and you'll be treated well on the West side. Can't tell you how many of you are very pleased with our plesantness and the fact that you're actually speaking to someone in this country for a change. And we're hiring like gang busters in all 3 res centers. Seems like we're gearing up to do away with outsoursing.

Can't speak to the treatment (as I think I've flown west maybe three times since the merger), but the fares on the east side have actually gone up for a lot of folks.

I wonder why prices have gone up???...anyone. Hint it's a four letter word that begins with f. Clue get a clue.

And what does any of this have to do with Station Managers leaving......NOTHING..
