Word out is that many supervisors and managers got the boot after the re-interview process was completed.
Results are out for some stations. I heard the ones that did not make the cut will be allowed to interview for other
positions at other stations. Sounds like a take it or leave it since they were not wanted at their current station.
Not a good time to be in management.

Was there ever a good tome to be a supervisor?

We heard some names here. All decent guys, it's a shame that the company treats their human capital this way. Here the company is making money yet they are still cutting heads at the lower ranks, in the meantime those at the top are still around.

Well, obviously if they are liked by us peons, they must be doing something wrong. They have to go!

I heard 4 heads in LGA 8 at JFK and 5 here in MIA

One guy in LGA was a good friend of mine we worked together for about eight years before he made the move to mgmt. 16 years with the company and he is out the door.

They said he could apply for other openings in the system Dallas and Miami in particular. Are they really laying people off or are they just moving them around the system.

And the ones left are now level fives. Are they getting a pay raise with the upgrade??? Sounds like smoke and mirrors to me the usual AA BS

Good luck to those who must find other jobs.

After the screwing AA has given its level fours you would have to be a moron to take a management position. Especially if you have any time with AA

Another fine Thank You for going the extra mile

Nobody is getting cut...All they are doing is shuffling people around, maybe in some cases giving people new titles. This whole thing is about giving lower manegement a raise.

Well, the level 1-4's I know (myself included) haven't gotten sh!t.

What's your definition of lower?

I know of two at DFW. One I will help with packing his bags. The other wasn’t the greatest supervisor but was an all right guy. I guess Hooter Gate finally caught up with him.

If two guys are told they no longer work at a station, and are told to hunt for a job anywhere in the system they can.......is that a cut?

Nope. there is such a thing as a golden parachute? There is always a job at HQ. With a new title... This is all that is is... Shuffling deck chairs.

Maybe if you were talking about guys with broader airline experience. but, because M&E requires the supervisors and managers to have their A&P, it's unlikely that they have the skills that make them marketable for a HDQ job. Their best bet would be downgrading into a L3 CSM job over fleet service.

There is no parachute when your job is eliminated. At that level, it used to be two weeks of severence for every year of service, up to six months. If you're close to 50, they might bridge you to early retirement. Otherwise, you're screwed.

Trying not to take that statement out of context...would you consider revising?
