What makes you think their intent is to unseat the twu? The actual intent seems to be diverting support from AMFA.

Let's be plain here - I'm not an AMFA fan nor am I an ibt or twu fan. Why else, though, would the ibt decide to begin a "drive" after many began a drive for AMFA?

Most believe, and I agree, the ibt was called on by the twu to repay a favor or two. Even if they collect sufficient cards for the NMB to call for an election, I'm not convinced they have any intent of filing nor am I convinced that even if things do get so far as an election (necessitated by an amfa filing for election with sufficient cards) the ibt has any obligation to accept the vote and take over representation.

Much like the federal government, I don't believe there is any limit to the scullduggery and treachery of these outfits. Until I see proof of their "good intentions", I'll have to question every little thing that happens.

Yes - I would like to see some quality representation for the mechanics - just not sure who that might be.
