Engine out, plane lands
Thursday, July 19, 2007
GRAND RAPIDS -- A Northwest Airlines flight that lost power in one of its two engines while traveling to Gerald R. Ford International Airport on Wednesday landed safely about 6:05 p.m. The DC-9 aircraft, with 122 passengers aboard, was a regularly scheduled flight from Detroit. Pilots alerted authorities to the problem when they were about 10 miles away from the airport. The plane circled as emergency crews assembled and then landed without incident.

With this latest incident (the second in as many weeks), it looks like the scabs are back to their former level of incompetence. Maybe I should start up the contest once again??? :)
