The LOW CLASS in LCC Strikes Again

Whether they offer food in the back and nothing up front or they make the FC pay for the food it is bad bad bad. Tempe is out of their minds. I have no idea what they were offering, but when asked by several pax, the F/A said there is no meal in FC, would you like to purchase what they are selling?

And, no UPNAWAY, the kiosk doesn't always say that there is BOB. When the new screen came up, it took me by surprise and I thought, wow, they finally are getting their act together and are offering a meal on the same flights that UA and AA offer meals to FC pax.

I have had FC customers ask me if they can see the snack pack that is being sold in coach. No one has ever wanted it after seeing it. If they did, I would never sell it to them, I would just give it to them. Which I am sure is not our procedure.

Where you in 1st? Did they offer you something to buy? Was there any explination? Or is this all second hand or mis observed? Please clarify.

I was sitting in FC. Several FC pax asked if there was a meal because they made the announcement in the back. The FA said, if you want what they are selling in the back, I can sell it to you. This is the same thing that happened back in February.

I probably wouldn't eat the crap they were selling, but the points are that (1) FC should not have to pay for something they are offering on board; and (2) if they are offering food in the back, they should offer food in the front.,

This was a HUGE issue months ago. It took the company time to respond. How does this look?... A customer is sitting in f/c on a full ticket and hears the announcement about food for purchase. Then the flight attendant brings the "tired" snack basket out. Hmmm real nice. To tell a f/c passenger that they can "buy" the food for sale in coach is insane and definately WAAAAAAAAY below industry standard or average. Why in hell have f/c to begin with? ALL of the liquor and wine is one shelf from the bottom the food is ok when you have it on a few routes and now food for sale. We find ourselves back in the same place as before. WHY would a passenger choose to fly Usairways when they can fly just about any other carrier and get a better service....more bang for your buck. I just KNOW that someone is going to try and justify this BS....have a it. 🙄 PS if that was my flight and you decided you did want that slop you would NOT pay for it. Write my A$$ up. It is going waaaaaay to far now. NO FOOD IN FIRST THEN NO FOOD IN COACH. Pretty simple.

Just when you thought things were going to get better--after their many empty promises to their pax--they have started selling meals to FC and Y pax on flights to Florida. This may extend to flights beyond PHL-Florida, but that is the only experience I have. I was told by the US1 desk that FC meals would be for purchase and I responded that would be an all time low. Well, the US1 liason was correct...they are selling meals to FC pax.

STOP SELLING FC FARES WHEN YOU DON'T OFFER A FC PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!

For years, HP has been a very "thrifty" airline in regard to salary, customer service, and meals. If it comes out of a "Cheap" box, you can rest assured it will be part of the NEW USAIRWAYS.

Exactly.... AWA was a small, regional outfit. They were not a "global, world class" carrier. Let's hope they realize that their is a delicate balance here. PLEASE.... 🙁

If this is true I will switch my flight on Friday to NW.

I had a choice of a 3 leg US flight SNA - MHT ot a two leg NW flight. I chose US, but I need miles on both airlines, but as bad a NW is with its 1st product, it is still better than US's product.

If this is true, there is NO reaason for me to make CP @ US this year. My compan's money is better spent elsewhere.

I had sworn off US my few transcon flights, but this says why bother, you have lost a good customer who pays alot. Good luck I say.

Well El he may or may not be a dope, Heck he could even be a total jackass for all I know, but he is a customer that is a high yield customer. The type of customer that provides 43% of US's revenue.

Consider that as you peruse your already diminished pay stub and consider what your future might look like without the 30% of enplanements that generate 43% of the revenue that go toward your pay.

If you and your colleagues are to have a snowballs chance in Hades of getting a meaningful raise you'd better hope that the attitude and approach towards elite improves from Tempe.
