Anyone have any info on the PHL 22?

I'm getting word that charges were dropped against 16 of them yesterday, and the other 6 were held over for trial.

That's great. They should be back to work just in time for the upcoming holidays!

That is if the union can get their jobs back. I hope not.

Possibly a deal between IAM and company to drop the snapback arbitration?
Even if the charges were dropped for 16 of the 22, it doesn't indicate that they got their jobs back. While I'm sure that not all of the 22 were directly involved in the fighting, they were in hot water just for being there. Follow trouble, and you become part of it.

I heard that the 22 were released as of Monday. From what I heard, BACK PAY is in the works for the time Suspended. As I understand it, they are not back at work and the Union is working on it.

Sucks to be you, I could say more but I dont want to have the moderators go after me.

Only in America can some lowlife union goon thugs beat the crap out of someone, and not get arrested for it.

These cretins should be in a PMITA jail right now.

And you wonder why unionism is dying in America?

And its said time and time again that the company is screwed up ?
I guess the next thing wil be that canale will retire from the iam

Rumor is that the 16 couldn't be identified, but the other 6 were. I don't think the IAM or the company could have anything to do with charges being dropped. I'd think that would have to come from the accusers, the D.A's office, or the Judge.

Were the leaders held over, or sacrificial lambs?

I think five out of eleven LL1776 Officers were allegedly involved, and only two of them are in the group of six still charged. The AGC was one of the sixteen released.

Regardless of the legal standing, the firings should stand.

Everyone knows who was there, enough already.

It's a sad day for unions and labor in general if these deeds go unpunished.

They're definitely not back to work, yet. I'd be surprised if the company just hands them their jobs back without making them exhaust the grievance procedure. If the company does make them go all the way to arbitration will the IAM arbitrate all 16 cases? I don't believe the IAM is under any obligation to arbitrate cases, and I've seen them leave people out in the cold before. If the AGC didn't like you, you were screwed....no arbitration. IMO, they arbitrate all these cases if necessary.
