What's new

Top 3 Things.

Increased Pay
More Holidays and Vacation
A work environment where management and employees can work together.

No inflight credit card pitches.

1) Employees being nice and respectful to each other.

2) A mix of both airlines non rev polocies.

3) Continuing and expanding on the Heritage themed aircraft.

And of course keep my job........

1) Easy to redeem miles, including partner flights, online
2) Main cabin extra (aka Economy Plus) seating
3) Gate Departure Boards like AA has (upgrade list, standby list, etc)

Good choices but I would swap # 3 for remaining in Star Alliance.

1) Dedicated Crew limos for all ground transportation during trip, starting/ending at residence.

2) Shelves in the cockpit for the reading library.

3) A Wilmington crew base.

Okay,I would love to hear why leaving the alliance you are a founding member of is a good idea.Never mind the ATI with BA or the JBA's with other Oneworld carriers .

If you say "Nonrevving would be better in Star!!!" I am going to smite thee with the wand of doom.

BA/AA's European hub is at LHR. As a paying passenger traveling to continental Europe (and occasionally Africa and the Middle East), I much prefer connecting in FRA or MUC than in LHR. Airport charges in Germany are hundreds of $s less than in London. FRA has excellent rail connections and MUC is a short S-Bahn ride from a major train station. Unless it has changed in the past year or so, airports in the UK have more security restrictions regarding your carry-on luggage than those in Germany.

Close the door at departure time. No more heritage aircraft, they are meaningless to our passengers. Diet Dr. Pepper on board. 2 first class positive space roundtrips per year.

You may be right about this, but then again, you may not.
I think some passengers love them! Especially the PSA with the smile )
But, for sure, the employees like them.
Why is that bad to have something for the employees?
We get so little...

Once I overheard a pax saying, "Look, US Air has to use other airlines to fly their flights!" The Allegheny looks like something from the cold war era! I think college team themes would be cool.

1) No fee non-rev travel (taxes on Intl flights only)

2) Dougie keeps his promise of a better contract and pay (he's on record in a podcast from last year)

3) Management FINALLY takes a cue from WN and begins to actually VALUE its employees

Great post! #1 is the best for employees and retires.
Add also, NO processing fee for customers redeeming award miles on line without the use of a res agent. Not the way to treat your best customers.

I thought of a #3. SEA, YVR, or PDX base. Well, I can dream can't I? AA used to have a SEA base, but management closed it in retaliation for the big sick out a few years ago.
