Buck , The IBT Airline divison participates in the Central States Fund and it is a version of an employee/employer contribution fund SIMILAR to we now have at AA. According to the IBT International The IBT monthly dues CANNOT BE USED FOR THIS FUND.

Pension Fund Participation
The Central States Pension Fund is considered a defined benefit plan, which provides a monthly amount at retirement based on your contribution level and your length of participation in the Fund.

To become a participant of the Pension Fund you need either 20 weeks or 75 days or 600 hours of employer contributions submitted to the Fund on your behalf in a 12-month period.

In general, once you have participated in the Pension Fund for five years you are a Vested Participant and have earned the right to receive a monthly benefit upon retirement at age 65. (If you left the Fund before 1999 you need 10 years.)
So it would appear that an IBT union member would have to adhere to the participation rules before they are covered?

BTW, The IBT International states that participation in this fund is voluntary and will only be implemented at AA if the majority of the AA IBT members want it. Then this plan would replace our New AA Matching Plan.
I can find no reference to AA IBT member on any IBT sight, AA JetNet or Google.

Who's the IBT AFW contact?
I need more cards.
Have them PM me
Are stamps still 13 cents?

I suppose that any website that has negative FACTS about the IBT is anti-union? Correct?
Union facts.org is a anti-union organization/website.

Do your homework before posting things. Organizations like that prey on members who are upset with there current union.

Unless you want to give up everything you have ever gained by being in a union, you should reconsider your alignment with them.

They do not have any worker's bests interest at hand.

I could care less about the agenda of the website. I am not selling the website, or supporting their agenda, I am reviewing the "facts" they provide. Are you one of those that likes to control who or what people can read or view on the internet?

If you can proof that their "facts" are not really the "facts" then OK, but of course only an anti-union website would provide data like DFR's, Corruption, and other "facts" that need to be known. I can hardly see any pro-union website showing us those type of "facts". Do you know of pro-union website that provide that data?

I am not supporting the website, or the organization, I am using the data there for educational purposes.

Do you have something that makes what I posted not the facts?

Have them SHOW YOU the TACTICAL survey, how it was worded, and what the vote results were.

I would love to see those myself.

This INDUSTRY HAS BEEN IN TURMOIL since DEREGULATION was enacted.

Think about it.
They asked to open the contract first, and then took the survey after management agreed?

Right, I have some swamp land in Arizona too!
Why can't you kids grow up and debate like adults. You do your side no good with name-calling and making your post text bigger than his. Geez.

Who nominated you forum and character police officer?

Taking advice is not your strong suit. Just leave it if you don't want to use it.

What is sad, is that I am on your side. I am a former AMFA member who walked on 8/19/2005 (7 years ago today).

Not one person here has even mentioned it.

We got it,thanks Quag

IBT. Inbred Brothers of TWU!!!
After 29 years of going backwards with the totally worthless union TWU I thought it could not get any worse!!! ! And along comes an even bigger more self serving unelected bunch of Nazis!! FU IBT! Good riddance TWU!!! Hello real mechanics union, God has sent us AMFA!!!!

Maybe I have missed something, where are all the TWU Int'l clones?

IMO with LBO2 and the decimation of our contract, looks to me

obviously that title I and II within the next six years will decrease by

at least 60-70%. Now enter the IBT. Not heard the typical TWU Int'l minion

bad mouth, complain about raiding of their own membership.

IMO the TWU wants rid of title I and II and are probably somehow selling

that part of their membership. How would they be reimbursed? Good question,

the TWU has been so trustworthy, honest, and forthcoming to its membership, I

know the next attempted screwing is coming. The 74% in TUL better wake up.

If you think you have six years of bliss(raptorgirl), just wait for this IBT crap.

So since AA does not want to and now has stopped putting into a defined pension plan its a 401k? So as an IBT member after 20 weeks or 600 hrs you are part of the plan but you have to put how much in. If IBT got in are AA mechanics able to not have any part of the IBT plan and leave the pension under aa watchful eye? Why would any one want to transfer thier pension to the union, when its put into a central fund?

Losing an election 2.0 is coming your way real soon!

Vote IBT

Really, find me just one line AMT that would vote for the IBT over AMFA when the representational vote occurs. Good Luck... Your overhaul yes voters, and title two sell outs will be decimated with the coming headcount reductions. Those are your main IBT supporters as well.

I suspect your job isn't to get the IBT in at AA so much as cause confusion at the overhaul base. Hence the name you use, your tactics, and your timing. Rules for Radicals?
