Regardless of opinions because everyone is entitled to their own. The one thing that cannot be ignored is that those that whine about the TWU as you put it, out number those that are deeply supportive of the TWU by at least 2 to 1. Even those that have not signed an AMP card out of fear are not avid supporters of the Docile TWU. On a regular more than daily basis, I visit with a member wearing a TWU t-shirt or hat that is bitching like hell about the TWU. In fact I can count the hardcore supporters of the Union that I know on one hand.
You and others may indeed be anti-change and anti representational vote, but that doesn't equate to a strong unifed union that will be able to stand up and represent you in a manner that would be worth two hours pay per hour month. In fact removing information from view of the membership, using fear to advance your position, and doing everything in your power to PREVENT a representational vote is actually very counter productive to obtaining a unified strong union. And instead these activities leave open the door of doubt of amount of union support. The only way to ever know and put this issue to rest is to have the vote and educate those that would refuse to accept the majority rule outcome of the dangers of not accepting the results of the vote.
This membership is divided, and until the VOTE actually takes place, we will continue to be represented by a union in which the support is always in question. Last time I checked, putting issues to a VOTE is the mainstay of our freedom and principles that make America great. Yet, you and others within the TWU not only fear the vote but also do everything within your power to keep from ever knowing the majority will of the members of the union. I wonder sometimes if you and others have under shirts on that have a hammer and sicle printed on them. And also wonder how you believe that defending the TWU in the manner you choose will result in the type of union we all deserve. No VOTE equals guaranteed continuation of the debate and regular card signing drives, and this equals a weak and dis-engaged membership, which equals WEAK UNION, which equals further failures that will cost you or future members dearly. Just think about in Logical Terms instead of Emotional Terms.
