And last time I checked anyone can post on here and retirees still can be active in Union Matters.

*another reason for folks not to want the ibt, look at awa contract's posts, he wants to alienate anyone that does not think like him and he feels mechanics, aircraft mechanics should be the only ones deciding anything and to hell with the other groups. I dont know about you, but that is someone I would not trust and would not want representing me.

Think long and hard before you vote if there is an election.

That is what we have said all along - vote - make up your own mind for who you think should represent you. And yes I do not see where a stock clerk should be on the same contract as a tech. You are not a mechanic - The other groups are entitled to have representation but with thier own kind. Why should a cleaner or a clerk fall under the mechanic contract unless you are just out to get more dues, where do you draw the line? Next you will be saying the counter girl at the 7-11 should be under the same contract cause they sold you a coke on the way home.

Keep reaching, even if the clerks or utility had their own contracts the dues amount is the same if they are on their own CBA or combined, and the NMB are the ones who make that determination, Mechanic and Utilty are very related, most jobs Utility do were once mechanic functions. Since you don't have overhaul you dont see Mechanics and Utility working side by side during the checks.

nope that does not prove you right - you included them to get dues because if left on thier own they may not have chosen the IAM. After the dust settled we see how well you protected them - 1900 some odd out of work I believe, job well done IAM. They got alot for thier dues - NOT!!

I really didn't see Utility working side by side with Mechanics at U East when we had them! Their Motto was clean or dirty done by 12:30! Last time I checked utility never had to sign a logbook or certify the aircraft air worthy! Your reaching dude! You make it sound like they were opening panels, helping change tires, THEY CLEANED!! and most bitched about that! Should they make a liveable wage sure, should they make close to what a Licensed Mechanic makes no!

funny thing dude...as a lead mechanic I remember almost daily having to coordinate my guys work around utes work.

remember,gotta get it opened,cleaned,inspected and evaluated asap.

You seem to be backed into a corner there 7?...Another funny thing is that the IAM wanted to disqualify all the AWA mechanics from being part of the 35% of the qualified to force a vote....Hmmmmm....some thing's not right about that....the NMB kinda said that is not how the rules work....ROFL...

FYI....Utility has been overwhelmingly for the IBT.

Most of the time 7 you are only proven correct "in your own mind" 7......It has nothing to do with the information you state as "facts".

Just so you understand 7.....AWA contract is some one to believe......try it some time you will be "enlightened" 🙂
