Some good news out of the United camp. Hiring up to 300 Pilots. Question is will it trickle into hiring some Mechanics as well? And maybe F/A's too??

Do you know if this is "increased business", or did United have a bunch of mandatory (age-related) retirements that had to be replaced? Just about all airlines have bunches of age-related vacancies that need to be dealt with.

Never mind. According to Yahoo, these are increased business hires. Good for United!

I actually didn't know but took it as increased hires, so thx for the confirmation. Might have also been a combo of more than expected took the retirement packages and new hires.
