I was gonna post those here after A.net, figured no one would care. As much as I hate the 321... period. It's pretty damn cool looking in the new livery.
I heard Stevie Wonder likes the paint job too.

I hate the A321 too. Bozo the Clown Dougie, please switch to next generation of new Boeing 797 (possible rename to Boeing Y1?) and A360.

Could someone explain the significance of the "Swoosh" or whatever the flock it's called? It looks stupid and ridiculous.
don't know if you remember but the new livery was supposed to adapt both the old usairways and the old america west livery into a new one . remeber how the old america west livery had those scribbly lines coming from the back of the plane towards the front? well it looks like the company incorporated that design into the new scheme but straightened them out and stylized it by (swooshing it) i guess it's supposed simulate air flowing across the plane or something to that affect.who knows .

I thought our old US livery looked very nice. Very sharp. Can you imagine how much money we would saved by keeping it and just painting the west fleet??
Of course the east fleet was starting to look shabby and it's getting worse. Thank god they are finally starting to paint the planes.
I'm not crazy about the new livery either, but they didn't ask me my opinion prior to choosing the new paint job. There are two different styles of design going on and they clash. :down:

only four f/a's is not enough... a trailways bus the way we run things aground here....
You have to repaint planes every few years no matter what. Some of those planes are wearing decade old paint jobs- they'd need to be touched up anyway, and it's be much cheaper than applying a cheesy new one. It also would have been far cheaper to just paint the smaller west fleet, which was the original plan. However, they had to appease the desert crowd by putting tacky swooshes or heat waves or whatever. They used the ridiculous excuse that you can't fly dark colored planes into hot places. Uh, yeah OK. Rather than hire a professional firm to update it, or even adapt some of the better fanmade ones, the usual taste-challenged crowd sat around with Paintshop and came up with this travesty. They'll outsource all of our jobs but they had to do this in-house, after a few beers by the looks of it. It goes against all design rules, clashes terribly, and is completely uninspired. So, yeah, I guess it does represent the airline well.
