What's new

US 807 CLT-PHX-HNL today...and tomorrow

What the hell does Alaska Airlines having diversions going up and down the west coast to and from Hawaii have to do with US Airways having diversions to PHX? It's not even remotely the same flight plan. Again, let us compare US service from CLT to Delta's from ATL. Oh wait, there IS no comparison. They don't even have brains enough to pad the flight for those that DON'T divert but still arrive late. Talk about screwing up a one car funeral. 🙄

There you go again! Allowing facts to get in the way of a perfectly good excuse

It's funny you mention that, because if you actually look at the flight history for NWA803, it has arrived late 10 times since December 31st, compared to 7 times for our flight over that same period.

Going back all the way to the 17th of December, our flight has arrived late only one day more than Delta's flight.

Oh come on now, you are spoiling her "hate the company" party with those pesky little facts. 🙄

On Time performance!

If you compare one poorly performing flight against another poorly performimg flight what does that prove?

Kinda like comparing Horse turds to cow turds! Both are shite.

What's the Marketing Slogan?

Fly US, We suck less?

Fly the Mediocre skies or US

C'mon now.....now your the pee on THEIR camp fire. I'd rather show up a little late on an ADVERTISED nonstop than divert to the city of Phoenix on my way to Hawaii with an UNADVERTISED but anticipated stop. What on Earth is wrong with you people?

Let's interrupt with some good news. 807 has arrived on time 3 of the past 4 days! Maybe, someone is learning something (or is it just that the head winds have eased?).

Once again I had to use a third-party web site to learn what happened yesterday. More and more often the US web site generates an error message when you query flight status from the previous day. Perhaps a conspiracy to cover up poor performance? 😉

More likely is an incompetent IT department

What's up with the scheduled arrival times of 807? Yesterday (1/21), today, and tomorrow the web site lists it as 15:31 instead of 15:11. The flight schedule I downloaded on 12/31 from the USAirways web site does not show this change. Looking ahead at 02/04 on the web site, the scheduled arrival time is back to 15:11.

Well, just got back from taking 807 and 808 between CLT and HNL. We got in first going and I was VERY impressed with the service! The A f/a "Rick" was GREAT and gave wonderful service ! As we deplaned, several female passengers hugged and thanked him. Made me feel really proud. 🙂 The seats are a bit narrow for F but quite comfortable anyway. The lie flat feature is great! We saw 3 movies and the great food service made the flight just fly by. ( no pun intended)

The staff in HNL is friendly but could use more training. Instead of calling non rev's up individually and assigning seats on a pretty wide open flight, they mass assigned everyone and called us all up as a group. I was senior non rev and had listed my wife and I in F. Only one seat was available and it was assigned to me. I told the agent we didnt want to split and he had no clue on how to return the seat. 30 minutes later, he got help ( felt very sorry for him) in returning the seat and reaasigning us. It would have been MUCH easier to call us up individually like CLT did and tell us what is available. There were only 11 of us listed for the flight.
I understand they are contracted to work for US but....

The return flight crew was civil at best. I don't think ANY of them cracked a smile during the whole flight. This was very upsetting since this is a MAJOR run in my mind. The f/a who was handing out the meals came to me and asked very stone faced, "what do you want ?" I don't know proceedure but the foil was left on my entree. I am reasonably sure, I've had other airline crews ( and ours) prepare the meal before serving it.

Overall, it was a positive experience since the check-in in CLT and the outbound flight were so exceptional. I can't fault the HNL staff, they aren't US employees and most likely have several airlines and computer systems to try and master and they were all very personable. The return crew seemed put out having to work a long red eye. Come on girls ! You are all pretty senior and know better. My wife and I split up right after the dinner to spread out and try to sleep. I rejoined her for landing and she had the exact same observations I did.

Of which QIK/SHARES is almost certain the worst. A simple seat/cabin change for an NRSA would have been one entry in Sabre (and - quite possibly -native SHARES. Untold CTL G F this F that in QIK/SHARES

(3 being their line number on the Pall list)
Yup, remember it well, even though it's been 5 years and I mainly worked the counter. I told the agent if they still had sabre I could have done it for him in a flash. He said he prefered sabre also. Another NRSA was there in line and she said smiling that she likes QIK better. I said GREAT, could you help him out and put the F class seat back and assign a coach seat? She shut up, smile faded and she stepped back.
