US FA's Stapled to the Bottom

I think it's safe to say that ANY sort of staple job would NEVER EVER fly here. We are not the same group of f/a's from TWA. After what happened I doubt HIGHLY that anyone would rule to accept a staple job. Not gonna happen. If it did it would not be pretty. Oh man. 🙄

This is a stupid Chicken Little story...............

US AND UA are both AFA and stapling WILL NOT HAPPEN!!!!!

Now let's move on from this stupid topic.

Somehow this turned into the AA will staple US thread. That scenario won't be a happening either. 🙄

Am I only one that's completely and utterly repulsed by a US/AA merger??

No, nor as much as we are at the thought. This may come as a surprise, but just what makes you think that you are a prize on the merger market? PHL operations? Please. If we wanted more PHL business, we would increase flying there. It's not exactly slot restricted like LGA or DCA.

PHX? Gee, just what we want. Another airport where SWA is the major carrier. Ditto, LAS. By the way, I was commuting on SW last night. One of the f/as told me that they are enlarging the LAS f/a base from 500 to 1200 f/as even as we speak. Do you think that means they are going to increase flying to/from LAS? I think it does.

Your International operations? Granted you fly to more cities in Europe than we do. But, that's not how business is measured. Look at the number of revenue seat miles to Europe. Look at how many passengers are carried annually.

Your a/c? Well, let's look at what it would cost to convert your closetless 8FC seat 75s to AA standard of 22FC seats with closets. And, all the a/c held together with duct tape--as employees and customers are constantly posting on here.

Your chef? I don't think we would serve the tuna burrito even in coach on an LAS flight.

Your employees? Well, let's see. Two of everything in the unionized workforce that haven't managed to agree on anything in over two years of drawing paychecks from the same company. Especially your pilots who demanded binding arbitration, got it, then are demanding a different solution because they didn't get the results they thought they would. Binding arbitration is just that...binding.

Quite frankly, I'm afraid that AA management will succumb to the thought that they have to merge with something because everyone else is doing it (one of the main reasons we bought TWA) and Greyhound isn't available.

Amen. How ironic that virtualy every post on here by a US employee describes it as a "ghetto" airline with no prospects for the future, but then, hypocritically, they act as if their POS airline has so much to offer an acquirer!

These mergers are about reducing capacity, so if we're the most useless that makes us the best candidate.

What do you say about your airline on your forum? We wouldn't know, we don't read it like you guys hang out on ours. Loved or hated, we sure are popular, and no can get rid of us no matter who's tried.

I've never understood the brAAinwashing over there... wow, three hundred MD, sorry "Super" 80s, wow.

Well, it is kind of like a family I (WE) can make fun of ourselves and say we suck.... But YOU CANNOT!!!!!!!

Our airline was once a great airline until AWA management. We turned into one big AWA ghetto airline.

Lord forbid if a US/AA merger were to happened and Dougie stayed in control....................... You would never grasp the finality of your ghettoness!!!!!

As for the employees, YES we are fighting for a better contract that is going to affect our lives and POTENTIALLY could affect your's as well if this merger were to happen.

I for one would rather NOT thank you!!!!

I couldn't agree with Twicebaked more. By virtue of currently being or having once been employees of this company (as well as those of us who may have worked for one of the past airlines that was merged together to make today's US Airways) we have the right to b*tch about the current state of the company and/or management. While we may argue amongst ourselves and complain to or about each other, and we may even still make digs about which airline we may have originally come from in this melting pot of a company, it's OUR family squabble, not yours!

This obsession about all things US Airways on the part of the employees of other airlines that post on US Aviation has never made sense to me. If we're such a worthless and insignificant company and employee group to the rest of you and to the aviation industry in general, then why do you spend so much time and energy worrying about us, putting us down, complaining about us, venting your spleen, and making rude and disparaging remarks about us? And why oh why do you come over to a message board ABOUT us and go on and on and on ad nauseam with negative posts about us? Just ignore us like the insignificant worms you seem to think we are and get on with your own lives!

And as far as one particular AAirline goes, the rest of us in this entire industry have always wondered just what brainwashing technique is used to turn its employees into such goose-stepping clones. You people are scAAry. The term Sky Nazis was created for a reason.

Fair and equitable integration. Hmmm. I think Andrew Nicolau thought his arbitration ruling on the US/HP pilot integration was fair and equitable. What's not to say a merger with another work group wouldn't result in the same? I can't see it being DOH for the same reason the US pilots(East) refused to allow HP Pilots the same.

We "hang out" here because it's so damn entertaining watching you beat the cr*p out of each other.

Enjoy your new size 16 zipper dress. Nice!

Actually, not, since Allegheny had some redeeming qualities, unlike your current sideshow.
