I was just getting our friend Jim spun up to operating temperature...and you throw the red flag....😉

You are a west pilot masquerading as an East pilot. You are doing this to amplify your victim hood to a judge you told to monitor the situation.

2 questions.

1. Why does it seem that west pilots are invited to join and participate in usapa and unless I am wrong no east pilots have been invited to join or participate in aol or awappa?

2. Lets look down the road 5-8 years. Where are the replacment pilots for the retiring east guys going to come from? Will there be involuntary displacments from west to east OR with so few east pilots on the street, once all have been recalled will new hires fill those vacancies with west guys still on the street?

My take, question 1, west pilots or east not really invited to join usapa, it's a right given to all because they are the union, your choice to join and get all voting rights or not join and pay germaine fees. LOL or AWAPPA private clubs, they didcate who is in or out, don't feel they would let any east in because of their legal battles with USAPA. They feel it would be like letting the fox in the hen house. I don't think it would really matter, because if their case is strong it will come out in the wash anyway.

Question 2

I feel this will all be decided long before 5-8 years, if not I think they would replace retirements by new hires but eventually all new hires on both list would would be on the bottom. That would work both ways, assuming still on seperate lists. In my opinion that would sux if any new hires replace retirements with either side having guys on the street. If retirements happen and all are operating off one list, call backs would be placed east or west depending on openings.

Any thoughts on why the Judge might be taking so long to issue his decision? Court appearances were on Thursday, he asked AOL to submit an ammended injunction proposal which was done on Monday. The Proposed Preliminary Injunction still comes to the same conclusions...just lays out the groundwork that will result in the proposed conclusions. I'd think that if it were all a fantasy, it doesn't take this long for the Judge to simply say "NO".

My take on this, is that if the judge thought the injuction proposal had merit he would issue it for some limited time, say 30 days, while he looked into it further. The fact that he has done nothing does not bode well for it.

An injunction is generally just a stay of some period which allows the case to be heard. His silence on the issue may be an indication that he thinks there is no merit to the case.

OTOH, maybe he's just really busy. I know some folks hate to hear it, but the world doesn't revolve around airline pilots.
