You have to wonder where NLC comes up with this stuff.........the irony is that he accuses you of what he is practicing! That's a hoot. Thanks for clarifying that, trunion, as we need to shine a light on NLC's personal definition of integrity, certainly a different definition than I was raised on.

Welcome to the board, recruit. By the way, unless you and I have exchanged bodily fluids at some time in the past, it is NOT appropriate to refer to me as "my dear." Capice?

Now, I suspect that you will be just another vocal tape recorder who spends their days disgorging nonsensical rhetoric supporting ewe-sap-uh and ignoring the reality that is the Nicolau Award.

I do not care how much or how long you or anyone else continues to dance around, thumping your chests and trying to belittle westys. We can handle anything you toss our way. Meanwhile, the Nic is still there and will continue to be there staring Stevie B. and the rest of the east right in the face. And there's very little you can do to avoid it. Some pilots on the west have already been harmed by the actions of the east and more harm is likely to be on the way. But don't think for one second that this will prevent us from realizing what we earned through a legal and unbiased arbitration process.

One other thing that I would like to throw in that really hasn't been covered very much here other than little snippets on holidays and other such times. I'm a pilot, you're a pilot (right?), and for the most part we both (east and west) want the same things. If the two groups would ever come together on common ground, they would be very effective at forging a bright future for the pilot group as a whole. It is extremely unfortunate that the situation has turned out as it has - we are, simply put, screwing ourselves here. A solution must be found soon, or the conditions we find ourselves in will never improve - only worsen - over time.

Personally I feel that this board is just recreation, but it has convinced me of one thing. And that is that a lot of money is going to be spent finding the solution. Regretably, that money is going to be coming out of each of our pockets. It won't take a rocket scientist to figure out where all that money is going to end up. And along the way, there will be a lot of pain felt on both sides.

I know exactly how much pain I am willing to endure, do you?

Let's see, first trunion flat out lied, you claim it was never stated on this board. In actuality, we find out it was stated. Then, conveniently, you claimed it was taken out of context and restate trunion is still lying. Well, it was a one line statement, not taken out of context, taken word for word. OUCH!

NLC, do you even know what the definition of "integrity" actually means, do you understand it? Heck, do you even understand what the word "lying" means?

I would feel pretty ashamed of myself if I were to make those statements about someone, I'd add that I think you owe someone an apology...........but that would take integrity as defined in Webster's dictionary.

USAPA Furlough Committee Update

Fellow pilot,

As the shock of the furlough announcement has had a few days to settle in your Furlough Committee has been busy. We want anyone who has any questions to feel free to call or contact myself or anyone from the committee with any questions.

We would like to point out that at this time Captain Lyle Hogg has said the furloughs will take all the way till the end of March 2009 to complete. On the East and West furloughs will start approximately September 1,2008 with a chance of furloughs beginning as early as August 15, 2008.

The East will experience 10-20 furloughs a month with a chance for zero in a given month depending on staffing requirements. The West will experience 10-30 month with the same chance of zero depending upon staffing requirements. All of these furloughs are subject to the number of voluntary leaves from either side.

We will be putting a package together of information together that will include: Unemployment benefits, possible type rating information (WIA), and other information and tools to help you through this difficult time.

We are gathering information to bring forth a motion for your insurance benefits similar to the last furlough. As we get information together on this, this will come to a vote by the membership. If you have not gotten your USAPA application forms in we suggest that you submit your application and become dues current in a timely manor to expedite the processing of this important and critical information.

Just curious..How does anyone ever actually "Earn" ANYTHING through some aribtrator's whim? Some arbitrator told you that your people were "Worth" 20+ working years of others' lives..and that made it "right"?...Sigh..I suppose OJay could clam that he "Earned" a vedict of not guilty just as easilly, and in each of those cases "INTEGRITY MATTERS" 😉

Wow!..So.....When you're not denying jumpseats to FA's and their families, and other pilots, because of the huge "safety of flight", unimaginable and horrible stresses it puts on you, or jamming phone lines, mailing excrement/rocks/etc, and hanging dolls from nooses in cockpits...You're otherwise, extremely self-disciplined, and truly just one tough buncha' hombres!!?? Spare me...puhleeaze. 🙄

Well they say it will be a neutral third call sign, I don't understand why they just don't go with usair and show us who's middle management is really in charge. After all furloughing 10% of the west and only 4% of the east says all we need to know.

I don't care much either, though USAPA seems to care a great deal. After reading their resolution regarding the call sign I have to wonder if they are going to be stupid enough to actually trade something to get the USAIR callsign.

I have no idea, though I will make one prediction;

I think the first significant news we will hear regarding USAPA/management negotiations is that USAPA has for "strategic" reasons decided to give the company relief on the T.A. minimum fleet numbers.

True Believers and faithful followers of the Great Prophet Nic, blessings and peace be upon him....can't be properly expected to cease lighting candles, "stuffing" envelopes, and hanging dolls at his holy shrine long enough to bother themselves with any such vile, worldly affairs. Such behavior would be blasphemous indeed..as..it is fortold by omens, portents and prophets in the west, that "the miracle" is yet coming, for the chosen faithful of the west....umm....any day now...well..soon, for sure...well....ummm...errr... so..they yet wander the desert chanting the holy verses "Final and Binding!"..."You won't even get 200 cards!"...."I want the captain seat...and most of all, I want every single east pilot to pay for it"...and, especially based on that last, directly quoted from their apostle Leonidas....let's not forget "Integrity Matters!"....etc.

PS: Should any assessment occur to benefit those slated for furlough....It's evident, based on events thus far, that west "Integrity" will prevent them from putting up any of their precious dollars on behalf of even their own people. True or False? I mean..after all...one can't have anything to do with the Union in any way out west.
