1st of all USAPA doesn't HAVE a hand , it's like your sitting at a poker table without chips , you have NO CHIPS ...




Dear USAPA …. You have no leverage , your threats are baseless , the future for your union is doubtful … I admire the way you fought off the world to overthrow ALAP and get rid of the nic award … but you see there’s this wall coming , it’s called REALITY and your about to hit it at 100 miles an hour, brace yourselves .

Most people have had a plan B at US for awhile; if you don't you are kidding yourself. That said, I hardly think you can blame the "oncoming wall" on USAPA. That wall was approaching way before USAPA was around...

My opinion of them has gone from sanguine to “they are a threat and we’re now in a state of war “


USAPA needs to apologize to EACH AND EVERY us airways employee and publish 5 more full page PRO company adds in the news papers .

Opinions are ......a belief or judgment that rests on grounds insufficient to produce complete certainty.. How is your opinion on pilot union issues anything but obsurd when you are a ramper and not a member of any pilots union?

I would suggest you take your own advice. Besides, you haven't beaten, proved anything. Except you're a total ________ (How did that little game of spelling turn out? Figure it out yet?)
 
And half the brains. Maybe she needs to be trained about fuel conservation, going direct is not always the most cost effective route. Throw her in the class with the 8 captains.

That's a strange comment - especially since you must not be aware the she's a furlouged easty. I guess whining runs in the family, eh?

I don't care where she is from, it was an embarrassing display, and her comment about "east" pilots not taking direct, and wasting fuel, is B.S. I'm glad the public didn't see that video.

There may be a few pilots on both side that don't care about saving fuel, but I believe most of us are doing all we can to safely save fuel. On a recent flight I saved over 2,00lbs with a routing change.

The west pilots I have seen on the crew news sessions take the cake for whining. Doug and Lyle handled that group much better than I would have.
 
No way, Pi. Training is NOT supposed to be punitive. Putting her in the class with the eight captains would be cruel and unusual punishment...for the eight CAs. S

That's true, but it would be fun to see.
 
I appologize in advance for taking everyone away from their much-enjoyed personal attacks, but I am happy to see that at least some in the media "get-it".

Holly, the aviation expert wannabe, is hardly the "media." She has her own skeletons which call into question her ability to even come close to some semblance of impartiality. And that's besides the fact that she's a fool. She has been gunning for US Airways for years and will take any and every opportunity to sling whatever mud she can find.

And the letter from the west pilot is a joke. What else would someone, who has no clue as to how transatlantic operations work and has animosity toward USAPA, say when given the opportunity by Holly vent.

That's all besides the point that the article should be linked when possible and appropriately credited. (Why anyone would want to take credit for Holly's drivel is beyond me, but Holly keeps crapping it out.)

I actually with usapa on this one, captain's authority is sacred, I do find it odd that usapa sued west captain's for denying east jumpers, of course the jumpseat is part of captains authority. I guess west captain authority is not as important.

Usapa knows all about retribution, just ask one of the guys who made a post on a private web board who they subsequently tried to ruin, once a loser forwarded the posts, that is.

Funny thing is, until then I would have happily carried an east pilot up front, now I'm not so sure. Quite frankly, I'm not sure how to differentiate between the slimeballs and the decent guys. What usapa tried to do to those individuals is unforgivable.

A man either has serious beliefs and principles..or he doesn't. If they truly exist; they're not something that one's ever "not so sure" about...no matter what they personally cost...EVER!. For what it's worth...I've seen abundant reasons to consider a great many out west to be complete "slimeballs"..but any/all of you out there are still welcome to the jumpseat. One either respects the Profession, and the essential ethics and behaviors that attend to that..or one doesn't. It's really that simple. Additionally?..If anyone could/would EVER be so "distracted" by any given jumpseater so as to endanger "Safeyt"?..Then..they'd wet their pants in any "serious" situation..and are wholly unworthy of ever considering themselves even the poorest, and most indescribably pathetic excuses for "Aviators" that anyone could ever imagine. I guess we went to "different schools" in life, and for business in the sky as well. I don't have to "like" anyone to do what's right..neither do any of you out west.
