He was also credited with saying that "cool northern efficiency" would essentially trump all.
His "Project High Ground" didn't seem to be too effective.

Please provide a link to this quote that is, most erroneously, associated with Mr. Colodny.

I think you will find this, right after another airline employee like yourself rumor, of the person in the hotel room that woke up and discovered that their kidney is missing.

I suppose you are the employee that woke up and discovered their pre frontal cortex missing, but apparently never was acquired due to genetics.

After you provide the link to your comment.

And I would add that "Uncle Ed's" most famous and notorious comment ("cool or was it cold northern efficiency") would be what he will always be remembered for.

Gladly, since it was his most famous or infamous comment, after you substantiate the quote that you attribute to Mr. Colodny in your earlier post.

Apparently what you are saying, in your offensive manner, is that he never said "cool northern efficiency" at all, ever, in any way shape or form in describing how he was going to run things.

I personally heard him say it at one of those meetings.

It's what a person does that matters.

Who bought PSA.

Who chose Seth Scofield instead of Gordon Bethune to run the airline.

Who made the decision to buy the F 100.

Colodny was a real genius, alright.

So are the people that defend him.

Hey, thanks for posting this...seems to be very clearly written.

What a mess.

I wish the writer had also stated that this affects flight attendants as well - no pay raises, change to vacation policy as well as some of the many issues facing both groups.

The East pilots wanted the AWA pilots stapled on the bottom of their list.????????????
ALPA, could not find any problems or violations

violates several of the policies and conditions of the ALPA merger policy
ALPA realizes there merger policy dose not work

You provided a War and Peace size link that at the end quotes a pilot as having heard him say that.

I defend Mr Colodny as an excellent airline Ceo of his time. Many different publications about him are out there and also opinions.

What do you think of Mr Parker? I respect him for standing in front of your america west pilots and telling what you need to know. It sounds like he is loosing his patience with you.

ONE things for sure---NO end in sight is for sure---management has just got to be ecstatic about all this-->keep em fighting each other and not us- BTW at least the 757 parking on GATE 42 in DCA didnt have the clip board with USAPA SCABS sticking "up" in windscreen---it was laying down--CAPT side--- with the black on green wording difficult but able to read-----geeez kids eh

How does this effect the flight attendants? Did not the fiaght attendant group choose to wait to vote on their contract only when the pilots vote on theirs? I believe what they call it out on here on the east is the ME TO clause. From what i understand they could have a new contract way before the pilots if they wanted one.

Long article. But it does seem to summarize the history of the war pretty well.

"The America West pilots didn't think it was fair. Why should they suddenly be in a precarious place, just because their company had absorbed a troubled competitor?"

IMO this will be ongoing until it ends up in a court somewhere and one side is forced to capitulate to the other. There is just no solution, IMO. Both sides are entrenched beyond the point of no return.

Lucky for DL and NW pilots that they chose to do it differently.

Good luck to all.

You kinda contradict yourself. Yes there is a solution. A judge will decide. It will then be game, set and match.
