Do you mean a real union like ALPA who has thrown the junior pilot under the bus since shortly after its inception? The same real union which the west pilots were trying to also throw off the property several years ago?

Just because some idiot tried to throw ALPA off the west property doesn't mean anything. He couldn't even get enough cards for a vote. Ironically he later became the West ALPA MC. He is one of those power hungy, get fat off dues types, just like Cleary.
The average joe line pilot matters little to those types. They can be found on both sides, east and west.

I didn't. Using the Nic list will place those furloughed among active United Captains on a combined % list. Unless Jim is correct and the top 2500 are mostly United - guess who the bottom 2500 would be?

Of course 2400 + pilots weren't hired. The pay differential between widebody F/O and reserve narrowbody Capt is so slight that many choose to stay put in the right seat causing Capt to go more junior than the West model.

Wrong. OVER 2400 UAL pilot were hired between 1996-2000. UAL hired 1200 pilots in year 2000 alone. A new hire class started each week with a class of 25, TK the training center was bursting at the seams and the sims were booked 20 hours per day.

You have been public about your status and I have enjoyed your insight. As a law school graduate I have yet to disagree with any of your opinions. Although my favorite source of entertainment is the legal briefs submitted by Seham and company.
Sure, Ace can post as much as he wants here. However, his claim to be in the top 500, with the "doesn't matter to me" attitude makes me wonder why he cares enough to post so much. As an A-330 PIC you would think he would be more interested in the exchange rate in Tel Aviv.

Seriously, maybe I am just crabby today because at the moment I am sick, but I have previously criticized East pilots who have suggested that I pack my keyboard and go away. I also have tried not to take sides based on geography, but rather facts and law. So that is where I was coming from with my comment. I think you can understand that position.

Why would an F/O, angry or not, have more time to post here than a captain, angry or not? Please explain the logic to us.

I have been a member here since 2002. Three thousand plus posts may seem like a lot, but let's compare to some other prolific posters of the west persuasion based on the number per month since joining (a much better picture of "anger," no matter how you cut it.)

So, the FACT is I am far from the leader here. And some of your own westies have surpassed me, yet they have not been the object of your scorn. Why does that not surprise me?

I will not be drawn into trying to "prove" to you my status; as long as my paycheck knows my status I am quite content that you don't. Ask N924PS where I stand on the list (well below him, but far above you.) If you had been paying attention these last weeks, N924PS has even made a few lame attempts to reveal my identity contrary to board rules.

Finally, as I have explained before countless times, but obviously not yet enough, that even though I do not have a personal stake in where this seniority list falls, I do know the difference between fair and unfair.

Oh....and the clever calling me "Ace" thing. Did you think that up?
