usairways f/a east wings

As a reminder...America West BOUGHT BANKRUPT LIQUIDATION TARGET USAirways (east)... and I will only wear the east wings the day they FORCE me to. Which looks to be a long time due to the typical management FUBAR with the uniform situation.. I do like the new uniform stuff I have got so far.. but still have received no pants.. Were we going to be Chippendales with the associated perks and tips I would have been ok with the wings.. ;-)
mods , this post is pure flame bate and should be deleted. end of story.

PSA, Piedmont, Allegheny, Republic, HP, whatever! Be proud, and wear them!!! I am proud to finally wear US Airways wings! I am sick of the copper one's I have weared for years... :p

PSA and Piedmont wear US wings that say Express on them because they are US Airways Group F/As. They will also wear the same new uniform we will and travel at the same status as us.

Republic, Mesa etc do not wear our wings, nor should they. US was actually one of the only F/A unions that allowed Express carrier F/As to wear our uniform and modified wings. Most F/A contracts have a stipulation in their contract that Foriegn national F/As or Express can not wear the same uniform as mainline. I think our WOS F/As should (the only thing I would change is print 'Piedmont' or 'PSA' under the flag rather than 'Express')... but I am glad the outside carriers will be wearing either the current generic one or their own uniform, and definitely their own wings.

If I were a West F/A, I don't know that I'd wear the US Airways wings until a joint contract, or at least pay parity with US Airways F/As.

Acutally at one time Mesa did wear our wings with express on them....Republic and Air Wisconsin has their own uniform.

Please can we stop this. The way the company is going now east and west will soon be meeting somewhere in the middle of bankruptcy. I'm really tried of the who brought who mess. No body on this board pay one penny for US Airways. I could be wrong but didn't America West have a get the ATSB loan as well. There were investors who brought US Airways and America West and selected America West management to run the new company with the US Airways name. America West management tries everyday to run but unsuccessfully operating and global carrier with a desert mentality.

None of the employees of where asked our opinions regarding this merger. So why do the employees continue to fight this useless battle over who brought who. Playboy if you want to wear your America West wings then you should, nobody is stopping you hell today in Charlotte I saw a LGA Flight Attendant with "USAIR" wings on so really who gives a damn. If after the uniform cut over you still want to wear your America West uniforms then do it what ever makes you happy. Just Enjoy the Ride

At one time all the Express carriers wore the US Express wings. Neither ZW or RP were USX carriers at that time.

All the planes I work on say US Airways. If I were required to wear the new uniform, I would also be required to wear the new wings. I am sick of this seperation crap it is really getting old! I think a positive message to send to the East is that we are united as one flight attendant group. So, I will protest and where my new Us wings, regardless of contract, and uniform issues. We can all send a strong message to the company by supporting eachother, rather keep this west v.s east crap ongoing. Sorry, I will retire my AWA wings for now. :)
