I'll be glad to throw away my job to support these goons [ 26 ] [25.74%]

I'm laughing right now to see the guys who would throw away there jobs take food off there tables for there family to support a bunch of 22 cowards! Why cowards do I say because this is the same bunch who wouldnt go out and push for a no vote on the past contract modifications they were to scared to lose there jobs.

They didnt want to go out on strike then but now all of a sudden they want our support.

Fat chance of that!

Parker has already said that we must cut further costs.
What better way than to pay us all at $9.00 an hour.
OOh I can hear you now....Dougie Pooh would never do that....dream on...

DP has NEVER said to CUT employee salaries or benefits. Get your facts striaght! Will the West non-union tech-ops folks take a pay/benefit cut if creeded into the IAM...probably...but it won't be DP's fault. There will be an election and if the IAM wins there will be pay/benefit cuts on the west side. Don't let being scorned cloud your senses about a management team you know nothing about.

The appropriate phrase on this board is, "Don't let the facts get in your way." Keep saying it until everybody is sick of hearing it.

You are correct Eric. In fact, Doug has said during several of those "crew news" sessions that the goal is to have labor costs stay the same. There may not be any increases right now, but there will not be any overall pay cuts among work groups either.

I think that we better collectivly get together and realize that is this much bigger than what it appears.
This was a classic case of union busting.
Corperate believes that Phl is the strongest union stronghold, bust Phl and everyone else will fall in line.
The company would like nothing better than to have a run off election,so that there would not be a union at all.

I believe this could very well be a company strategy. Jerry G. is very good at this and he IS still on the property along with Ford and Harrison (Claude) that is negotiating all the transition agreements.

Remember, Ford and Harrison had a mooto "WHEN THEY ROAR; WE POUNCE".

Jerry Glass comes from them and he brought them here. And Doug Parker wants these outside lawyers negotiating your agreements.

That is why I hope and pray that NW pilots and f/as are successful in walking off the job if the BK judge imposes the 1113c and abrogates.

DELTA pilots will be next. And maybe this cycle of BK to get rid of debts and contracts will cease.

I agree. This lunacy of courts supporting management incompetence at the expense of the workers has to stop somewhere.

Who will management "manage"?

Wouldn't it be nice if employees could file 1113c motions against the executive contracts?

Turnabout is fair play.

Glad someone else validated what I've heard since day one. Even though the company has hired guns to negotiate union transition agreements, based on the outcome of the transitions agreements put in place recently pay hasn't been cut...in fact some are realizing decent raises over the next few years. Actions speak louder than words. My hope for the others (including my workgroup) that haven't reached transition agreements yet is the "wiggle" room will be there for them as well.
