You hired on with the lowest paying airline, because, what, like nobody else would hire you? I mean it is like MESA, where the CEO gives his "welcome" speech by saying he is obviously paying pilots too much because someone actually showed for indoctrination.

Maybe I didn't hire on with the highest paying airline, but my airline (admittedly...with help from outside investors) saved your bacon from the unemployment line. You should know what Mesa ground school is like, that was the next step in your lackluster career. That or, "would you like to supersize that for a dollar more?"

OK, this statement makes me insane and makes me realize that there are a percentage of West employees that are just willing to bend over and just take whatever this inept management team will deliver! The so-called East cry babies you are referring to, are at least passionate enough about their jobs to actually know when they are being led by ineptness. Yeah, it's a combination of "been there done that" and just plain common sense! I guess in the past at AWA, there was no solidarity of employees to stand up to poor decisions being made from above. The "East" employees have been around the block a few times and can smell a rat a mile away! Welcome to the ranks of being a Legacy carrier and for god's sake stand your ground, everything that's taken away from you will NEVER return again! BTW, most of the East crybabies were 100% behind Dougie and friends at the beginning of all of this, after years of being subjected to poor management, DP was a knight in shinning armour.....until he took control of the company and we all realized he DOESN"T know what he's doing! Don't be soo sure that in the distant future the West side won't be singing any blues either! :huh:

Just remember HP is no LONGER you needed us---and if our job knowledge sucks that is the TRAINING that HP gave us----is this why HP has no employee more than 20 yrs no one wanted to stay

HP is no longer and neither is the old US Airways. HP was barely 20 years old and since I work with those that have been with HP and have reached over 20 years, you are wrong. Your post is no better than the one to which you responded. Posting HP employees or US employees were better than or worse than the other is ridiculous. Both sets of employee groups have wonderful people and everyone needs to work towards bettering contracts and bettering the overall airline. Mama

Guess what, we out number you, as the west fleet service found out, as the west pilots will find out. The east is the real part of this airline $$$, so go stick your head in that plentiful Arizona sand.

That statement is very shortsighted on your part. You may outnumber us, but, if it wasn't for the west basically buying your company you would probably outnumber us in the unemployment office and nothing more. Oh yeah you have more bankruptcies than us, you do outnumber us don't you? All except in work ethic and living brain cells. We should play nice together and defeat this tyrannical company with a union that looks out for the employees. We pay their salaries don't we? And quit fighting with each other, east or west are not the enemies, the management is! We are now one lets act like it. That last contract sucked, need a new union to get us a real one.

That's fair but I am one of the 52 people who voted against that garbage contract. Not all of us have our heads in the sand. Why don't you try to reach some who liked that junk via postings etc. We all need to get this done for each other.

No, the west bought nothing. They had no money.

The financial package, put together by US east (Lakefield - Parker is mentioned nowhere in the paperwork), gave money to AWA to pay off loans, etc.

If anything, the east got together the financing that reduced AWA debt and allowed US to exit bankruptcy. So, the east got the money to get AWA off the debt hook, in effect, buying AWA.

Your ignorance of events is astounding.
