jimntx said:What's the stock symbol for the new US Airways? I did a Yahoo Finance search and it only brings up the old UAIRQ.OB symbol which is the "bankrupt" stock. It's trading at 18.8 cents/shr.

LCC is the symbol--it was announced at least 2 months ago.nycbusdriver said:I think another company already grabbed the U.
And LCC is the Lumina Copper Company on the American Stock Exchange.

It starts trading tomorrow morning (Tues 9/27), "day 1" of the merger. Doug will ring the opening bell at NYSE.

Well, he is a big-time CEO now . .maybe he's allowed to just show up unannounced 🙂nycbusdriver said:Did Doug tell them he'd be there?
The NYSE schedule this week doesn't show any more guest "ringers" until Thursday (Secretary of Commerce Gutierrez) and Friday (DSW Chairman/CEO SChottenstein.)
And there's NO information anywhere on the NYSE site about LCC being a valid ticker symbol. You'd think SOMETHING would be posted less than 24 hours in advance of the stock trading.
If Doug gets turned away at the door, have him call me. I'll buy him brunch.
