No, but rumor has it that they wanted LLCC but the NYSE wouldn't accept 4-letter symbols.....

Ring my bellllllllll ring my bell!!

ooops....throw back to the 80's

Looks like the bid is $20.50 though it hasn't traded approaching 5 minutes into the trading day.

Thanks BB... I figured it would open around $20... Not trading because there are no buyers putting in buy orders @ 20. I might put a few real low limit orders in just for fun, or to catch it if slides fast... this will be an interesting stock to track for the first few weeks... and it will get even better when the 6 month rule is over.

How many shares are outstanding? I want to calculate their P/E at 21.

So far ....

Went up to $21.40 pretty quickly, traded in the range of $21.20 - $21.35 for a few minutes, latest at $20.90. Ask volume have generally outnumbered bids.

I'm not very stock savvy. Could you tell me were to find this info and watch the stock?

I suspect that the price will drop in a few hours. Fuel is a huge factor, you can ride this for a day, than dump it. See where its at in a week and see if the traders have any faith in this merger. Wall street is not talking this up any.

The consumer index has plummed. Not good news. Folks have got to stop borrowing against their homes. Interest rates are going up.

This is not good for the over all market.

I'm using real-time quotes thru my broker.

Without that, CNBC (most cable providers have it) but you have to watch the "ticker" scrolling across the bottom of the screen and pick out "LCC". The upper of the two "tickers" is the NYSE where LCC trades.

Any other easily available source (Yahoo features stock quotes, for example) usually has a 15 minute or more delay - you won't see trades as they happen. But that's not a big drawback unless the price is going up or down a significant amount and quickly or at the start of the trading day.

AWA class B ended trading at $8.70. Using the conversion factor, that equates to just over $21 per LCC share. Whether that says anything about what LCC will trade at tomorrow is beyond me.....

I take no credit for super forecasting skils - that was just the mathmatics of the closing price for AWA yesterday and the conversion factor for AWA shares into LCC shares. But it looks like the price is generally about the converted AWA price.

The price has slid some, though. Latest is $20.52 - the low for the day so far.

Philadelphia Business Journal - 4:04 PM EDT Monday
US Airways, America West spend last day apart
The merger between US Airways and America West Airlines closes Tuesday.

Starting Tuesday, the combined airline will trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol LCC.
I wish people would do a little research before making a post.

Why in the world would I consult a Philly rag?

The NYSE didn't think it important enough to post ANYTHING on their website, although they posted a schedule of IMPORTANT bell-ringers for the entire week. Even the USAirways.com website didn't have the information.

CNBC did say that Doug rang the bell. They didn't think it important enough to show him on camera, though.

I suppose today is a non-event in the big scheme of things.

Unless you read the Philadelphia Business Journal. With a circulation of at least ONE, I suppose. I imagine it makes a good wrapper for your hobby.
