When I am on a flight that the pie is offered I serve it and say, "Would you like a slice of pecan pie? It's INCREDIBLY sweet"? It goes either way. Sometimes you have a lot left over or you have none. Vegas flights you usually have some left over though you only have 8 slices of pie. I guess it doesn't mix with the liquor well. Oh yeah another thing I LOVE about Usairways is how I get vacation for the entire year in January and February. Nice after 10 years. But the planes are pretty and we're getting snazzy new uniforms to clean the planes in on your 6 leg 737 or 190 trip.

I like the alliance with Star Alliance and the additional pass travel options it brings.

I used to think of this when I flew with the 50 hour FAs during the ten years that I flew 105 and six trip options. Now, I appreciate it and realize that our collective bargaining allows all of us to keep full benefits while changing our flying obligations to fit current situations. It's the best part of this job.

What is it I like about US Airways?

It's not United, Northwest or Continental!

US is not my first pick of airlines, but I hate UA/NW/CO so much I would rather sing the praises of SHARES while sitting in a cramped coach US seat with tape all over it and ads on the tray tables than to ever step foot on UA/NW/CO ever again.

I like flying out of ORF.

I like connecting through CLT.

I like having the CP angels.

I like the fact that the majority of the employees (so far) still try to offer good customer service even though the tools they have been given to accomplish this are lacking.

I like the upgrades.

I like the staff at the Clubs.

And I like the fact that this forum is the busiest of any other airline - while it means there are many things still wrong with this airline, I also think it means the employees are not going to just accept things as they are.

1. I like the new computers even if the programs don't always work. I found a few super-secret ones that actually have unrestricted internet and print too!

2. I like the crew webcasts even if it's mainly venting and very little corrective action.

3. I like the profit sharing and hat trick payouts although I'd prefer some of the concessions back.

4. I like the big party cups even if it looks like I bought them from home.

5. I like seeing new Westie faces in our crewroom. It gives us something new to talk about.

6. I like the 65 point plan.

7. I like that we now fly to Hawaii because I go there a lot, although I will never attempt to nonrev with my family of six.

8. I like that we have tuition reimbursement again.

9. I like the extra page of puzzles in the USAirways Magazine.

10. I like the fact that Dougie and company were crazy enough to attempt a hostile take-over of Delta! That was great fun...I hope they do it again so this board will get exciting again!

Don't EVEN get me started on THIS ISSUE. And yet their are some F/A's that have been "Career Reserves". For those that want to only work 8-10 days a month, they need to be designated PART TIME......the Free Ride needs to come to an end. I have never understood the notion of people working 8 days with full benefits....and some are as Stupid as the Day is Long.

When reserves are lucky enough to fly 85 hours thats about 18 days an month if your luck these days? This is NOT 8 hours a day. Your away from home for days at a time working 13 hour days. So that has to be taken into account.

Nice post. It's kind of refreshing to see something a little positive once in a while.
