My apologies YVINTERN

My reply was aimed at 700 (aka BCTGM man aka DELETED BY MODERATOR)
I fatfingered it

sorry

I am glad we are not signing cards for the BCTGM

If 700 is aiding in negotiations for the BCTGM as he claims he did for district 142, then they are in big trouble. Here is a snip from an article off their website. Someone should warn them that they are in non negotiations according to him.

Hahahahahah! DELETED BY MODERATOR
thats good!

BCTGM and Interstate Brands Make Progress in Discussions

September 12, 2007

Kensington, Md.— Frank Hurt, President of the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union (BCTGM) announced that three days of talks between a Union Advisory Committee and Interstate Baking Company, producers of Wonder Bread, Twinkies and a host of household name brands of baked goods, were indefinitely suspended early Wednesday morning. “Our Committee and the Company made extraordinary progress in seeking solutions to the Company’s financial and operating problems but so far have been unable to bridge the gap,â€￾ Hurt reported. “We expressed a willingness to recommend significant concessions to our members, but the Company has said – at least for now – that those concessions were not enough.â€￾

Answer these:

Did he not file short on cards when he started his first union and caused a one year bar?

Did he not try to sell his name list to the IBT for a job?

Was he not removed as Grievance Committee in ORD for Dual Unionism?

Did he not start Fleet Service United and appoint himself as leadership and tried to raid the IAM and failed?

Did he not start the Allied Ground Workers and tried to raid IAM at US and the TWU at AA and fail once again, appointing himself and Miker Pruitt as leadership?

Did he not offer his services to the TWU in PHX only to be told no thanks after the TWU DFW Local Lodge President inform him of his attempted raid on AA Ramp?

Funny all these things happened, not distortion, just the truth.

700....Thanks for your information...I'm going to assume that all these questions are to be answered yes. If so IMO they reveal a person with leadership and integrity. TM's post's have been invaluable to understanding what's going on. Not everything of course but I don't think he pretends to be unbiased. As far as the greater question until I hear substantial info to the contrary
I'm willing to take the rist to boot the IAM.
I think the DL141 was under orders to play this conservatively. But they knew full well what they were taking on. A highly senior east workforce an a west workforce with an amendable contract. As a westie my main complaint is that they have been and still are unwilling to take action on the TWU contract. I know that ther are forces within the union on the west side that have repeatedly asked for this . Do you have any idea why they don't? Here are some possiblities
1. They did't want to commit the resources
2. They don't have the resources
3. They thought the east wouldn't appreaciate it...
I mean I've thought a lot about this and have written a few letters and haven't really a clue.
Thanks BF

I've tried figuring out why the IAM doesn't do things and I can tell you that they do not have any limits on resources. The best way to look at this is just to keep it simple. The reason why they do nothing for the west is because of only one thing....it's the IAM.
Also, it's not number 3, they could care less if the east appreciates it. No doubt about it.

It's the I Am Management union with Parker as the head Union Boss, and Canale's his boy. It's just that simple.
That piece of garbage Canale tried to squash Nelson because he cares about his guys.
Thanks for the kind words. The folks I represented always listened to what I said because they knew I wouldn't bull sh*t them. They still support me and I still represent them even though I'm not the local chair. When Canale sent one of his boys to pimp that piss clam contract at ORD, I was called in, and Canale's boy was basically told to be quiet and keep his **** **** to himself or he would be 'removed' out of the room. In Chicago, that's how it operates.

Tim,

Many FS agents in CLT are wondering if IBEW will return to CLT?
Do you know?

Last I heard I think plans are being squared up for a meeting down there. Also, I know I told some LGA folks that the IBEW would be coming there this past tuesday but there was a terrible car crash on their way to LGA and one of the IBEW guys ended up in ICU at university of PA hospitals, and the other IBEW guy had I think cracked ribs. Sorry, LGA, hang in there, they are still going to come.

Thanks Tim,

I hope the PHL 22 didn't have anything to do with that

No way. PHL is solid for the IBEW from top to bottom. It was a freak acident with someone going through a red light and hitting our brothers. These guys were in the hospital and were asking if they could be released because they wanted to get back out there organizing for the IBEW. Really committed to the US AIRWAYS workers.
