Lets not forgot all the airbus 320 series aircraft that AW has. They will be brought back in house under our IAM contract, along with about 300 or more mechanics jobs. Also the company is bringing some 757 work into Pit because its behind and can be done quicker in house. Where was AW sending their airbus fleet for the heavy work??? :down: :down:

IF WE AS TEAMSTERS DO ONE C-Check back to the tables we go to work on a new deal for C-CHECK.

you get all touchy feely over your c-chks.....we do heavies with 24 mechs and 3 leads per dock....we do c-chks with 1 lead and 7 usually....so tell me wheres the headcount?

AND WHO CAN THE IBT BRING BACK? WELL 1 OR 500 OR MORE FOR A START IS BETTER THAN NONE!

funny you should mention that....the company needs to bring back up to 500 to replace retirements,early outs,etc.and then due to IAM's heavy maintenance scope language,will have to bring back even more to pick up on the work IBT has let go out the door for some 8 years due to their lack of success in bringing back work they lost from AWA. 😛

But then again, with the downsizing of the 737 fleet and the addition of the Airbus narrow body mx, wouldn't that pretty much balance things out, possibly including retirements, early outs, etc.?? I hope there are people brought back/hired but.........not sure how the "bean counters" will crunch the numbers. :unsure:

the 737 and some bus givebacks have been going on for quite some time.it won't offset.
the 737's will be gone by next contract....so will any heavy maintenance on the property....
IBT won't be able to bring anymore heavy in,IAM will keep what it has until '09 . then the company will force a strike using newly tested techniques pioneered by former U exec's now at northwest. 😉

You can't seem to get it through your IAM clouded mind that the Teamster lost nothing in the way of work - it was gone before they were on the property. What is it so difficult for you to understand that? The Teamsters have brought more work in house during our contract and increased jobs. The IAM has lost jobs, pay, and benefits. I just love the way that everything is the fault of the judge, management, or its own membership. The only thing they seem to do with any amount of competence is avoid the blame for thier failures of leadership.
