I don't really give a damn about green enegy except when people try to use it to cover for their failures in so many areas in Texas.
Cut the crap.

This has nothing to do with green vs traditional energy output or people "blaming" windmills.

You only care about Texas power issues because you just can't stand that Texas is doing their own thing. Texas stands alone and that just pisses you off because your warped little mind thinks everybody and everything should be subjected to federal government regulatory overreach.

In 2017 Texas had less than half the outages California did. Where was your criticism then you buffoon?

Go crawl back in your hole because nobody is buying your BS.

You can't dismiss the notion that when there are incentives to favor one form of energy production over another, that's where money will be spent first.

And yeah, Obama bears some responsibility for those wind farms -- wind investment was part of the ARRA in 2009, and his administration came up with a benignly named program called the Investment Tax Credit which gave wind investment projects a 30% tax credit. There's also the Production Tax Credit, which dates back to Bill Clinton's EPA, but was extended several times under Obama.

There's no question that utility companies made a conscious choice to invest in renewables instead of "this might only be necessary every 10-50 years" projects like the winterization of the fuel supply lines and turbine gearboxes & blade deicing.
You are wasting your breath. Your logic and facts will fall on deaf ears.

Either the man is an idiot or too indoctrinated and making a choice to be blissfully ignorant.

His warped mind just can't concede that those windmills were purpose built for the environment in which they operate and the cost of winterizing them is unjustified given the frequency at which those methods would actually be needed.

This is not about energy anyway. This is about KCFlyer trying to convince us that federal government regulation is the answer to all our woes. Never mind the fact that California, one of the most regulated states in the UNION, has FAR more outages than Texas.

The man is ate up with it. A fine example of the effectiveness of social engineering and media backed propaganda.

Like some one turning a Ted Cruz does dumb stuff thread into a screed about energy.

Republican state, Republican Senator, and Democrats are the problem.

Not really. I'm fine with Texas doing their own thing. I just think they need to admit that their own thing let them down bigly instead of trying to blame the windmills, Obama, antifa, the deep state and anybody else. Man up and say we messed up. AND - the Texas love affair with deregulated everything - It most likely won't be until March until we find out how many people have a four or five figure electric bill. My hope is that when those that opted for the free market solution demand that "something be done about it" and bail them out, that the funding come from Texas (who did their own thing) and not the other 49 states. Because Texans overwhelmingly voted for Donald Trump because they didn't want socialism. So when the call comes (and it will) to bail out people who were ripped off by the energy wholesalers, politely tell them that their plea so too socialistic for the Federal government to take on. So let them deal with the fallout of their state "doing their own thing". And if Texas has trouble doing that, they can explore alternatives...such as implementing a state income tax.

spend the rest of the post contradicting yourself.

You truly are a clown.

Here...let me summarize - WHEN (not if) there is an outcry to bail out the folks with the $10,000 electric bills, let the bailout come from TEXAS....not me. I could care less what Texas does, so long as it doesn't cost me anything. But it already has....FEMA was sent there. More power to them...just let THEM be the ones who take care of the results.

Careful there KCFlyer you are starting to sound like a conservative.

Expecting others to take responsibility for their own choices? For shame.

Better watch it or your socialist buddies will come after you. You know they love to eat their own. You may even get canceled.

They might call you a fascist.

They might even call you a racist.

It is black history month after all.

Nope...but before the election good old "I hate socialism" Texans tried to run Biden's bus off the road. Then it got cold in Texas . And those damned socialists in DC sent the generators and blankets and supplies and tried to see them thru. And they had $10,000 electric bills. And somebody is going to be demanding that "something be done". Heck...I'll bet good old Ted will be lobbying for "assistance". But if socialism is bad, then socialism is bad. So don't give the Texans anything. Heck...they might reevaluate socialism and realize that it's not all Venezuela and Hugo Chavez.

Which of course is what your posts are all about.

Like I said... they have nothing to do with energy and everything to do with opportunistic sadism. The old "comply or die" Democrat mantra.

Speaking of scumbag Democrats I see them going after individuals for what they say are violations against the Hatch Act. I find that pretty damn funny because the whole reason the Hatch Act was passed was due to manipulative Democrats dispatching Works Progress Administration employees to influence desperate Americans during an election. I mean you have to laugh at the audacity of the Democrat party, the unfettered double standards, and the unchecked hypocrisy.

I don't even promote "comply or die"...Texans were assholes towards Biden and the democrats in the last election. They were all against "socialism" although I asked several times and nobody could tell me what socialist policy they feared the most. They were just against socialism. I'm not happy that FEMA was dispatched. IMHO, when they handed a Texan a blanket, they should have shaken them and shouted "THIS IS SOCIALISM YOU IDIOTS".

Given that the Texas AG sued Georgia over an election, and that most Texans were very anti democrat/anti Biden, I would say that I would rather promote "you made your bed, now lie in it". But did you notice how Biden never said a word about "being nice to him" before he sent help. He just sent it.

I don't really give a damn about who you think are assholes to the Democrats.

If I had my way I would gather up about 85 percent of Democrats to face trial for treason with the only sentence being execution.

Texans don't like Democrats because Democrats are a bunch of two faced treasonous mf'ers hell bent on undermining our culture and traditions in their lust for power. It's just sad your too stupid to see your being manipulated.
