He is delusional Kevin, this is the same guy that was bragging how he helped pass the Transition Agreement that led to his coworkers being shown the door, just as long as he got his raise.

Now he is a coward, he needs to educate himself on labor history and see why unions are here and how people were killed, maimed and injured for the right be to be in a union and the right to collective bargaining.

I hear ya! I get that he's an easy target, but what he writes on here is really indicative of what's gone wrong with America's working class.

Geez you guys talk like I'm not a greedy captalist ... I assure you no one loves money more than I do ,and I desperately want to get to AA wages ...if I could throw you Kev,mike,700 under the bus in order to get more I would ......no I'm just joking ....

But seriously I don't understand how any of you could think I'm OK with the fact that AA gets more than us ,and didn't they just get an 8 K a worker bonus ? Meanwhile we who have worked hard and honestly to put US where it was get nothing ...

It Does bother me ...but I still have to be pragmatic about it all ..

You know what. Under the circumstances (Bankruptcy) I'm going to agree with Robbed and say that we did make out like bandits in comparison to you guys. You guys went through 2 VERY emotional situations where loaded guns were pointed at your heads and the chambers were fully loaded. The LAWS and the economics were stacked against you. But don't think for a second that we didn't suffer casulties and significant losses as well. Trust me we did. But NOW we're in a very different dynamic and the thing I'm trying to tell you is that your anger for the past is not going to help you move forward. What the other guy has or doesn't have is meaningless. We have to build our new house together.

I can give you the entire run through of why we all took so many losses for so many years. That's one long list, some of which we also have to realize is also our own fault to a small degree. No more voting for contracts that give you gains over someone else in the future. Even if it's the guy not on the clock yet. That's how so much division perculates and festers resentment. Personal greed is as much a cancer as corporate greed.

If the NMB does release you maybe that's a good thing? Who knows? I really hope there winds up being another way instead though?

I think you are just a beaten down employee who is satisfied with what is given to you, but want to be part of something.....without your name being attached.

Find some more excuses!!

So it bothers you, but you're not quite bothered enough to, you know, actually do something about it?

Great.

I think its valid.to pint out that those of you in high cost of living areas and who work in snow have a much harder time under this current contract and have every right to be outraged ....

As I've said before.I am with the membership and if you strike so must I .

Hey weasel I enjoy your writing style .could you tell us that long story on AA ,I would like to know what you've been through .

What you fail to mention is the Sec 6 strength and how we would have to give that up. I agree whole heartedly with many of your points but lets see where the release/NMB goes. I personally am not willing to just throw in the towel without our Reps getting back to us on what our options are. I know what they are but many don't.

ROA?......The 2 days are expiring for feedback from our reps !!!
mike33,

I have been extremely busy this week with an arbitration etc,, have not even had a chance to catch up on forum. Have been in breakrooms in PHX briefing what is going on though with impasse.

WeAAsles,

As a member of the US negotiating team I just want to let you know that we should work together but not until we get a fair contract. What they have offered us is basically inflation raises that we didn't receive since 2012. Can't let this Company who has 11 Billion in cash get away with this BS. We are not asking for the world here, just a fair contract.

No we didn't WeAAsles!

I have no shift differential. I have no double time pay. I have five less holidays. I have five less sick days. I have a week less vacation. I have ten days IOD time, down from 80. We lost mail in all stations and cargo in all except the cornerstone five.
With those went jobs. We lost some prime seniority jobs at DFW and other places to Eagle. We would have taken a paycut but instead took a headcount cut. Partime was increased...should I go on... While I realize much of this was taken in 2003, we did not get any of it back and lost more. WE DID NOT MAKE OUT LIKE BANDITS!
And that's not even mentioning scope...probably the most important!

Pat the way I see it is pretty simple. You have the keys to the car and I'm just a passenger sitting in the back seat. But I am going along for the ride even if we hit a few potholes. Of course I know you guys have a gameplan here and it's not only what the company has in the bank but the fact that there future earning potential is possibly astronomical. We haven't even talked about there Market Capitalization which I expect is also going to continue growing. That and the things I wrote in my first post to be keenly aware of.

The problem looking through this thread though is some of the emotions that are stirred up by at least one certain radical that we all know very well. You can't underestimate these people to continue to stir up trouble many times for their own personal agendas. Although they say that they don't have any. Some of them even tried to make some inroads into our group and were easily shot down.

You do realize that US filed chapter 11 twice in less than two years, US workers have been living like that since 2002.

FREEDOM I think AANOTOK summed it up pretty nicely there. I can give you my personal story of a lost wife, home and a few moves around the Country but I still can't go back and get them anymore can I. So I really don't have any choice but to continue moving forward. Learning from the past but moving forward. I actually haven't posted on here in a few years. My handle and avatar should tell you how I felt back then. I learned that my anger didn't get me squat. Just more anger and a ton of bitterness. It's not how I chose to walk through the rest of my life and I just personally think it trips us up and causes us to make mistakes.

I also don't want to compare what we lost to what anyone else has lost either in our industry or anywhere else. Weaker minds can play the envy card if they want? Just not my personal thing.
