It's not impractical...it's called " old school ". When the membership has had enough they will react. I bet the last time anyone called OSHA in CLT was G Bonar, that guy could drive a manager crazy by just walking on the property.
Oh... I agree with you on a lot of things, I'm not saying I don't like your ideas, it's just that you are only "one" in about every twenty Members or so. Getting the group to solidify like they did when the "CLT THREE" were fired by Pelk is what it takes... DAILY!

Remember the concourses being lined by Members? It was a beautiful thing! I never thought CLT could do it... they proved me wrong!

I don't even think we have any members in those two stations anymore. We were suppose to arbitrate BUF but then Roa's boys balked as AH half baked them into walking away and tossing in $500 for moving cost as the contractor did the work.
Seems just like all the UAL stations the district was going to protect like MHT and MIA.

Yes that was a great showing, but Pelk pushed the employees to the limit and they responded, When that jet taxied out with them on board local management knew they had pushed the envelope.

They don't care.  Anyone who believes otherwise will have NOTHING to show.  It really doesn't matter if it's US AIRWAYS or United,  they don't give a damn about anything other than their wallets and feel entitled.  Then those below them get pissed off since they have their place in line and believe any opposition team is cutting in line.  But, anyone who supports them has to talk about the future and not talk about all the tragedy this leadership has been an active part of.  Just terribly wicked.

Like roa said the hard part is getting folks to do anything & rocket I called OSHA & sent in a couple reports not long before I left & at least one of them got J Y 's attention.

Now... let’s put the CLT3 incident in context, which was about three guys getting fired for something everyone was doing, essentially, they were made examples of! The resulting backlash from Fleet was one of the most memorable displays of unity in CLT Fleet History. MX and CS even joined in!

Today, you have been kept in a BK agreement for over two years in Section 6 by the Company, and there is not even a whimper, other than to blame the Union! I know you are tired of hearing this cliché... but... you ARE the Union!

They are the ones who being these POS agreements to the membership and then they blame the membership for ratifying them. So funny everyone here attacks Freedom for voting for more pay at PHX yet don't say a peep about UA other than to defend it saying 70% ratified it. But aa you said they never learn I'm sure AH would love to get two votes out scope both in section 6 and joint talks.

You will eventually figure out what his motives are... I'll give you hint... distract, divide, conquer! You will also notice that someone on here loves to carry-on conversations with him, attempting to make him relevant! It's so obvious it's sickening!

guess ah is crying bec the mechanics are not doing ot   that's just too flippin bad   cannot be forced to do ot  tell ah to cry me a river
They must not have forced ot in their contract. We do by a rotating system if applicable. There are other things we can do though............

Another problem that roabillys anti unionist negotiated in the united contract was an open ended clause on wages and benefits. Thus management has taken advantage of this gift and has initially targeted the closing of 45 stations over the next 6 months in 3 waves of 15. The first 15 were announce last week and includes clt.
The union contract forces the union to outbid swissport and then if it is successful then it may reduce wages substantually sorta how class 2 pay was in bankruptcy.

Essentually, due to the open contract, our eboard has to be in continual and perpetual concessionary talks. As you all know, this will affect hubs as well as it will put downward pressure on hub wage as we saw when uswest and all class two stations except ord vote for a $5 pay raise but the hubs only got a few quarters. Thats why we have the lowest pay out of all airlines.

"Anybody can say any damn fool thing, and anybody can purchase a Godaddy.com Web site for about 9 bucks a month and put anything they want onto it, but that doesn't translate into effective communications with the membership," he says. "If your strategy is to trash your own organization, not many are going to look to you for leadership."

kindly let us know who yrashed the iam as opposed to the anti union leaders who havent really done a damn thing?

If u r happy and think u r getting your dues worth then vote in the incumbants and you can guarantee nothing will change. But if you are like most members and realize your not getting your dues worth then you have no hope but to vote for change.

This union is truly dying and at the crossroads. Either the members do what they have to do to make necessary changes or buffenbarger will continue to do his best imitation of lorenzo.
