There is no grievance, if US wins a contract to work other flights, its quite within the scope of the CBA.

What would you file a grievance on?

US, PI and HP have all done work for other airlines in regard to ground handling.

US' flights were moved to AA's terminal and AA is now working them I believe, US doesnt have fleet at JFK, the work was done by a vendor, I fly in and out of JFK a few times a year.

The more work you get the better off you are.

PI use to do a lot of third party ground handling and maintenance.

I worked a BA 777 in CLT a few times myself as Utility.

We actually put a package together to work the LH flights to MUC, and we almost got the bid, but US didnt want to dedicated a certain amount of people to work it.

Mainline ramp in CLT works Republic's E170s and 175s.

I agree, there's nothing that violates any contract by having US work AA flights in PHX ASSUMING that the AA contract permits it to be contracted out.  Wouldn't you rather US get the work then a contractor like Swissport?  If this was a 'helping hand' agreement, however, that would be a completely different story.

those who are stuck workin the aa metal  if they have a grievance   will both the iam and the twu file    i ask this bec if the us employees working aa metal  and the twu and iam are suppose to be the alliance  it sure makes for interesting things to come

also is it similar in jfk too  with this going on?
Separate. US would be the contract company.

It will be interesting to see what excuse DP gives employees on how the company cannot pay industry leading wages comparable to United or Delta.  His last excuse was always "the hubs at US Airways don't generate the same kind of revenue as the other legacy carriers." Time to bury that one.

I think we'll have some senior people going for it out of interest or novelty, especially those for who scheduling flexibility isn't as important or those enticed by the 4x10's they're offering.

True..or there will always be that "one guy" who wants to be a superman for the company.

So I take it Freedom will be bidding the AA work, lol
Its not AA work. Its vender work. Id go a step further and say that id like our peeps to get all the piedmont work and even all the american eagle work. Those companies are taking our mainline work and just because they pay dues doesnt entitle our nc to stand down over small narrow body jets. These venders are encroaching on our craft so i have no sympathy taking over work that belongs to venders.

Who will fleet service agent’s answer to AA management or US management? Can AA management direct a US fleet service agent

Fair enuf harry. I will just respond instead of quote.
Why respond at all? What is your infatuation with an (ahem) “Financial Officer” who stalks pro-union posters all over these boards spreading disinformation? Further, your devious, ambiguous, and poorly cloaked antics are the reason you lost credibility to begin with.

You truly believe you are smarter than everyone else don’t you?

lol when it comes to lack of credibility there is plenty to go around when it comes to the IAM.

funny Josh doesn't bother me much unless he downgrades the city of CLT

like I've said I like people stirring things up instead of blindly following

So its ok for josh to lie and shown to be wrong then the facts are posted?

And yet he continues with his lies and no one says anything except me and maybe a few others.

Josh's facts, the lack thereof, truths, lies etc...doesn't change this industry one iota are my employment within the industry! Why let it bother you sooooo much?? I myself have wondered why he is so wrapped up in our industry, but I do not feel compelled to challenge him after every comment...ain't that big of a deal IMO.

We TWU members over at AA have always felt it was a conflict of interest watching our work disappear and end up in the hands of American Eagle while the TWU represents them as well.
