2014 Fleet Service Discussion

In my meeting in DFW with DP here is what I stated:

1. Doug, "what the hell is going on with our negotiations?"

2. Things are toxic across the system because your US employees deserve a fair contract and you are not negotiating.

3. We will not file single carrier status nor will we go into JCBA until we have a fair deal.

4. The Company should quit comparing our latest offer to AA's bankrupt contract because we are not in bankruptcy.

5. We will meet any time, any place to get a fair deal.

6. I talked to the Star Telegram reporter and if you need the quote that you made about US employees receiving raises when the merger occured in December, I have it and will show you.

At this point Doug deferred to SJ who talked a bunch of BS about going into jcba which I then restated that we will not file single carrier nor go into jcba without getting a fair deal in section 6 first. I also stated that we could not sell the contract they offered.

Brothers and Sisters, IMO, the Company offer is a big POS wrapped in more s**t with s**t gravy poured on top.

Cargo,

I'm sorry to hear you aren't running... I would vote for you in a heart beat if you were!

Lock -N- Load!
Again... thank you for the endorsement. I,ve spent the last thirty minutes sifting through hollow campaign promises, personal attacks and a candidate ignoring retirees who once supported his cause. Hardly the stuff that builds solidarity. It must be nomination / election season again. I believe our collective group has a lot of built up frustration and is primed to unite, dig in their heels and fight back. Unfortunately, the group lacks the leadership to truly harness the energy toward the common cause. This is a result of continual division that is driven by some incumbent officers becoming complacent and careless to the needs of the members who elected them and the hollow promises of candidates who continue to run for the positions of the incumbents. This under current continues to be counter productive to the overall best interest of the membership. Some have been playing armchair quarterback to current leadership teams for decades. The end result: A lot of potential solidarity and the willingness to stand up and fight for the common good is wasted. In the meantime... the collective groups' working conditions, wages and benefits continue to erode.

Mike33,

I was talking about the instability I thought we might have if the IAM and TWU fought for representation.

i dont believe there is any historical evidence in the modern history to suggest that the nmb will release two groups. It will choose one, if at all. This needs to be communicated to the members instead of incorrectly posting that everyone will be released.

You are absolutely right about the elections But this is the first timethat the incumbants have been shut out of their hubs. The steamroll has been even stronger than 2008. Time will tell but that united contract you guys hosed them with is the driving force.
That said, usairways candidates are always the low hanging fruit regardless of slate. So you could really put the usairways membership at risk if all usairways candidates on your ticket get crushed but you succeed in knocking off usairways candidates from the winning ticket. Thereby leaving usairways with 0 spots. It is what it is due to bylaws but hopefully stubbornness doesnt prevail if yhere is a clear winning ticket.
Tim,

I personally could not ever support anybody who has never even been a shop steward for AGC or any other position. That is unfair to the members I have always tried to serve.

Tim,

It just states that it was reiterated to the nmb that it is time to move this along for both groups.

Good to hear, thanks Pat.  I'm sure they'd love nothing more than to keep us languishing in our current agreement while dragging JCBA talks on for years and years.  Not going to happen.

IMO I think that the president of the TWU sends a letter reiterate what p.rez told DP in Dallas about the SCS not being filed until the sUS fs get a fair contract
Just my 2 cents

I have done events for both sides, McCrorry, Rubio, Cristie, besides Democrats

I would love to get that release but history seems to suggest that it will never happen, which brings me to this question. what happens if they say they are not going to release?

that's good I would too, money is money and business is business.

Well the board will usually only allow one group to go out, and it nothing happens with a release, its status quo and you have to do what you have to do.
