We disagree. Yes, I think the 2008 contract sucked and that's why we are at the industry bottom, and you think it was good. Your boys you are voting for negotiated it so I'm not surprised you love the 2008 contract again. Of course, less than 2 years ago, when your name was on a ballot running against them, you claimed to everyone that they were incapable. Only after late last year when you learned you would not be placed on a ballot did you start shifting your position closer to the current officers and flip once again like a cheeseburger. Oh yeah, that shows character. lolograc said:I would expect nothing less than a "that's absurd" response from you. Fact is, since 2008 ageement, this is our first opportunity to improve working conditions with a new Section 6 CBA. Fact is, before an agreement has been even reached, you want the membership to believe the NC is selling us out. You base this on opinion and so called leaks from your sources in contract negotiations. Without factual evidence to support your allegations I regard your opinions and allegations to be politically motivated. I may not agree with, or support positions this district leadership has taken, but please don't apologize to me for not being asked to be part of your UNFC opposition slate. If asked; I would have respectfully declined being part of a team, especially on the US side, who sought election based on the dissention of the UA members. Two years ago, when the membership decided on their choice of leadership; I reached out to the winning candidates and promised my support for the good of the membership. It's called character, honor and virtue. I did this based on the memberships' choice. There is indeed a fundamental difference between you and I.
The reality of the situation is that regardless of who you or me support, you are selling out fleet service by supporting a team that has already signed off on the 2008 US AIRWAYS contract, endorsed the United contract, and have all but wrapped up a new contract that is worse than the previous two. Go ahead and tell everyone how great they are for working on a wage installment plan that doesn't even take our people up to AMR wages until late 2015. These guys couldn't even get the wage progression scale down from the 13th year to the 9th like our American brothers and sisters. That's not right for anyone not topped out. In fact, the wage at top out isn't the same % throughout either, and NO additional vacation for anyone without 25 years. But you don't give a damn since you have close to 40 years. YOu don't mind tossing the junior guys in the gutter. You don't give a crap since you will get your retirement bridge but you have no problem supporting these dopes who also are giving up scope. So much for your "lock and Load".
You and roabilly make me sick at times, talking real big and putting up your "Lock and Load' on every one of your post but now have rescinded that position. Why? I'll tell ya why because all the strike talk and release talk was another part of the 'movement' towards the company as your boy Fairbanks agreed to lose the media rhetoric. Not amazingly, his pipeline was asked to stand down as well. Roa only post "Lock and Load" when I ask him to now.
I would appreciate if you at least stop flip flopping and put up your "Lock and Load' again so we can at least know where the hell you stand at.
