You're welcome.

Totally different game. Of course, you're oblivious and still hoping USCABA can do a single thing to help you. They're gone. Forget it. Former bargaining agent. It's a new day.
Crip available for you, paid for by your agency fees to USAPA.

Seven years of stagnation and more to follow, including 10 year fence from any wide body aircraft.  america west pilot scabs never had an expectation of more than the desert PHX and LAS.    Ask bret butler, you have to fly in China if you ever want to fly a wide body in the next ten years.  You know Wye (river) this happened.

Jeffery is going to tell them the cold hard facts, you are screwed and better wise up, he warned you at Wye River but you idiots did not listen. Some advice this time pay attention. Join in or sit there in the desert and stagnate or go to China. Seniority is earned not stolen, learn that.

I don't think the west is losing any sleep, especially when the only list the company has is their Nicolau.

To wit:

"The company, along with the East and West MEC's, agreed in the September 2005 merger Transition Agreement that the integrated seniority list would be accomplished under the ALPA Merger policy and would be accepted by the company if it met the following criteria......We have determined that the list submitted meets these criteria, so the company will accept the submitted list."

Wonder why Jeff quit USAPA?  Do you think it was to tell the west the bad news?

following class: “All pilots employed by US Airways in September 2008 who were on the
America West seniority list on September 20, 2005.”

DATED this 4th day of December, 2012.

......From what we’ve been told, Jeff Freund left the Wye River conference out of frustration over our MEC’s refusal to negotiate a compromise. Our MEC says they held the line. If failure to negotiate, causing 175 furloughs, is holding the line, great job, guys. The East MEC made an offer that would have prevented Dave O’Dell from being furloughed. You turned it down.

I don't think that's it and is not even close to what I've heard from the pilots that were out there.  ALPA wanted a way out and they tried to strong-arm the west into compromise - one they couldn't force on them at all.  Like the letter stated, it met all the company's criteria and was done under ALPA's supervision.  Sure they furloughed in the west, but we'll some displacement soon in CLT once this merger is completed.

Dear JetBlue Pilots:

Recently a former America West Airlines (AWA) pilot who currently works
for JetBlue
e-mailed me and asked my opinion about the upcoming ALPA
vote on your property. I shared my thoughts with him and then decided to
do a web search to see what was going on with the current ALPA drive on
your property. I was somewhat surprised at the vitriol and emotion
surrounding the ALPA vote.

Having experienced firsthand what pilot emotion can do to derail pilots’
collective bargaining energy, I wanted to share with you what I feel is
important for you to consider in the upcoming ALPA vote.

For those of you who do not know me, I have served as an elected ALPA
status representative, a negotiating committee chairman, a merger
representative, and a retirement and insurance representative.

However, it is my three most recent pilot union duties you will probably
find the most interesting—I served as a secretary-treasurer for an independent union trying to replace
ALPA as the collective bargaining agent for the AWA pilots in 2003–04,
and then later in 2005–2008 as the
AWA ALPA MEC vice chairman, and then as the final AWA MEC chairman. My position as AWA MEC
chairman was terminated in April 2008 with the NMB election of USAPA as the bargaining agent for all US
Airways pilots.

As you can see, I’ve been around. As a committee “puke,” I worked with many others to produce the
first collective bargaining agreement for Mesa Airlines
in 1995 (then under CEO Larry Risley with five
different carriers/FAA certificates) and have been involved in union work for much of my airline career.
I have always tried to work hard, and often fought within ALPA and with ALPA staff and other
volunteers, to try and determine the “right” course for pilots. At times I have been ALPA’s biggest
supporter, and other times a huge detractor.

However, unlike the managements I have worked for, I— like many other pilots— have fallen victim to
using pilot emotion in my decision-making. And I think it’s important that you all realize that some
JetBlue pilots may be making some of the same emotional mistakes that US Airways pilots have made in
attempting to hold ALPA accountable for something that they, the pilot themselves, helped bring about.

You see, rather than hold management accountable for our terms of employment, we have held ALPA
and each other accountable. The result is a complete and utter mess. USAPA, born out of pilot emotion,
has proven to be the most inept of independent unions, unable to accomplish anything in negotiations or
contract enforcement. Many of the US Airways pilots age 55 and over will likely retire on their current
concessionary contract. With more sections open than we had in 2007, and little in the way of strike
funding or pilot unity, the US Airways pilots have doomed themselves to the status quo (or worse) for at
least the next 5–10 years.

JetBlue, on the other hand, has a bright future. Aligning with ALPA, like the AirTran pilots recently did,
can only benefit JetBlue pilots in any potential mergers, as well as future negotiations. As I said to the
pilot who asked for advice, ALPA is not a perfect organization, but for JetBlue pilots it’s a no-brainer:
Vote for ALPA. Then elect good leaders and hold ALPA and those elected leaders accountable.
Voting for ALPA is the right choice for JetBlue pilots—the non-emotional choice. If I were a JetBlue pilot,
I would not hesitate to vote for ALPA given the current industry climate. Regardless of your personal
preference, I wish all of you the best and can only hope that you do not follow the same independent
union-led destructive course as we have done at US Airways.

Sincerely,

John McIlvenna
Former America West Airlines MEC Chairman
Yes, john blanket party mcllvenna and former mesa pilot, warning he will worry about the safety (from his own pilots wrath) of his own flock if they tried to work it out with USAPA.

john mcllvenna, who stood up in a pilot meeting in phx with Doug Parker and claimed he witnessed East pilots that were taxing with both engines and apu's running.

Wanna bet?  There will be no displacements and no bumping or flushing.  Those were requirements by the company for any SLI agreement.

Besides, you guys lost.  Pretty funny that you guys apparently went crying back to Mr. Freund after you fired him for telling you the truth.  I guess that after Marty dumped you all for not paying your bills you had to do something.

Every clerk of court knows that September 2005 is prior to 9 Dec 2013.
