"Hey, the UAL guys have the balls to deny the Eastholes, the least we can do is follow suit. They are the pariahs of the industry, and frankly I think it IS unsafe to have them on our jumps. They’ve made their bed, now they get to lie in it. Plus – damn good point – they would be quicker than a hard up Fed to bust us for the slightest infraction. Nuff said. I’m on board – just itching to deny one to his face!"

"....they would be quicker than a hard up Fed to bust us for the slightest infraction."  Seriously? Whew! That speaks volumes about the inner workings of that poor kid's tortured little mind. Sounds like a classic case of Projection to me. Personally; I can't imagine anything that ranks lower on my list of things-to-ever-do than play "rat" to people offering the decent courtesy of a ride, but of course I've never been part of a group who's "leadership" directly asked the CEO if they "should turn in" their fellows for so much as daring to taxi heavy aircraft with BOTH engines running! 😉

I remember the dude in the leather saying they did not like the Nic as well. So then, why did he want it so badly? A: Reward without work!

Love the leather jacket.

Right out of "Thirty Seconds Over Tokyo."
Where are you on this one, 924BS? Or do you only criticize East pilots, the group that gave you DOH and you quickly rose from NB MD80 F/O to WB 767/330 captain? Are you polishing your imaginary boat on Harbor Island? Flying up the beach in your imaginary airplane from Montgomery Field? Surely you are here as you usually are after retirement on a holiday weekend. San Diego is a terrible place to be on Labor Day with everyone going to the beach, barbecuing and sailing their yachts. Where are you on creepy Cap'n Narcissist, 924BS?

Disgusting.

[sub-note 40: Not only does the Wye River meeting confirm that the East pilots understood the force of the Nicolau Award, it confirms that they were willing to live under it.  By the terms of their proposal, the list would be operative immediately upon execution of a JCBA but with restrictions for seven additional years.  (The East pilots’ Wye River proposal contemplated that a JCBA would be ratified by June 2008, which was a reasonable assumption given the state of negotiations, including the Kirby proposal.  See West R. Ex. C (East Wye River Proposal) 22.)  Had the East’s Wye River Proposal been in effect, the Nicolau list would have been the list to be used in this proceeding without question and the carryover restrictions of the East pilots’ Wye River Proposal would have dropped within months of the effective date of the Award in this case…]

He has a bigger problem than most realize.......
Karen Homey most thoroughly discussed the ways people try to attain and maintain a favorable self-image. The clinical writings of Horney, and other psychotherapists as well, document the ways in which people attempt to defend and enhance self-esteem; they also suggest that difficulty maintaining self-esteem, and maladaptive efforts to do so, may be central to a variety of mental health problems.

Boo Hooing from 2008 & criticising someone that's outgoing & a community volunteer..... not desperate at all. You boys are most assuredly the biggest TOOLS in the box.
Do you need someone to connect the dots for you? image.webp

Can you imagine the fun the media would have had with "Captain Aux" or Steven Gay if they had been in the representatives for the airline in place of Sully.
Every dumb a$$ picture would surface.

924 POS, I rode right seat in the 767 for some former PSA types in 1991. Your type would commute in from the West coast on the red eye and then fly to Europe that evening, like you guys were half asleep the whole crossing. Glad your sorry a$$ has aged out.

What a nightmare scenario.  It's frightening to think what else is out there that would have popped up once the media picked up the sent.  Meet Carlos Danger.

We can only thank our lucky stars it was Sully and Jeff.

They were a good bunch of guys, though.  I'm still in touch with a few and they don't think much of 924POS and his self-serving mentality.  They were always loyal to their F/Os and they're still in our corner.
