Friendswood police blotter: June 18 - 24, 2012
by
Jun 25, 2012

Family Violence

June 21 (1:18 p.m.) Duane Leon Giroir, 56, of Pasadena, was charged with Unlawful Restraint and Assault Causing Bodily Injury. Giroir allegedly forced his way into his estranged wife’s home at some point on the evening of June 20. A concerned third party called police and stated that he was concerned that Giroir was at the residence and that the estranged wife may be in danger. Police attempted to contact the estranged wife by telephone and were unable to do so. Police conducted a welfare check and were able to remove the wife from the residence when she came to the front door. A police negotiator then contacted Giroir and after more than two hours of dialog, officers were able to enter the home. Once inside, officers secured a handgun and took Giroir into custody. He was taken to a Houston-area hospital for evaluation and released later that night. Giroir’s bond was set at $10,000 and a Magistrate’s Order for Emergency Protection was issued. Galveston County records show that he was released from the Galveston County Jail after posting bond on June 23.

I heard he cracked up a motorcycle and was seriously injured some time ago. Although we did not see eye to eye, hopefully he is doing OK.

I remember auguring with him about the Nic arbitration award and how it could be negotiated away. The word was he had a relative at AWA. Big ALPA admirer

You guys need to knock it off with this made up stuff, these guys should not be flying if any if this is true........and yes our APA is by far the weakest and dumbest around, with they listened better to what was coming our way. I do feel bad for the rest of you guys since I'm out of here next year.

AA76LRdvr:

Unfortunately, it IS all true. Go to YouTube for additional enlightenment of your new PHX colleagues. Prepare to be thoroughly disgusted. Maybe others here that have more time on their hands than myself can post some video for you.
If nothing else they sure were good entertainment for the last decade, for the most part all have disappeared so as to preserve what little dignity most rabid western posters had left. You may recall such names as Nic4us, cactusboy53, prechilill, clear direct, move2clt, fodase, res Judica, nice landing captain, junebug172 and many others that are now too ashamed to surface for fear of additional ridicule for their haphazard and incorrect threats on the east pilots and USAPA. Most of those threats came from west pilots that now hold five digit seniority numbers. We had a list of those threats going at one time, it got so long it would take pages to repost!

I would be getting ready to drive to work in LA and fly to Asia on a shiny new American 787 if it wasn't for your sleazy group and their bogus do over. But no worries, fool, I will be out the door of this craphole in less than a month. Can't wait to walk int the office and tell our new eastie chief pilot to go straight to hell because I quit. Good times.

Is that you Johnny MacV?

As a newly retired "eastie" I find it ironic that the west movement to LA and DFW bases is primarily due to the integrity of the USAPA fairness doctrine that emanated throughout the east bases. The APA f/o's now understand that they were sold down the road or "under the bus" by APA. As I understand now that the resurrection of USAPA is the "whisper" in the crew rooms! Calling Bradford , calling Bradford! Where is the money?

And this clown. The photo certainly explains quite a bit: PSA Disco Danny. US Air gave San Diego based MD80 F/O 924PS date of hire seniority and he eventually retired as a senior Group IV A330 captain flying to Europe. He currently lurks this site, on holidays and weekends, ridiculing union officers for wearing authorized uniform pieces, but check out Disco Danny at the PSA 727 oiler's panel. The chicks must have dug that pilot military wannabe '40s "Thirty Seconds over Tokyo" 'stache along with the stylish '70s disco perm. Still have the hair, 924TB?

More than two years retired now, he is lurking late into the night and occasionally posting here, lying about owning a boat on Harbor Island and an airplane at Montgomery Field in San Diego. US Air employee unions gave DoH to PSA employees, not longevity, not slotting, not relative position, not stapling; DOH! Some of the PSA pilots had been hired, awarded a PSA pilot list seniority number and immediately furloughed before even starting an initial training class. Not LOS: DoH. 924TB argues on this website that his long suffering first officers did not deserve what LUS pilots ungrudgingly gave to him.

Enjoy your imaginary airplane and boat.

Very well said.

Bradford and the USAPA boys would be such an improvement over this APA cluster. They withstood all the slings and arrows and stood fast. And in the end. . . . . victory!

700uw continues to lurk, nursing his wounds after the Nicolau humiliation. Years of pompous, false posts boasting of his expertise in labor law left him with nothing to say in the end.

Now he feverishly takes notes from his latest Anthony Robbins "self improvement" 😀 scam course and keeps himself on a sugar high by devouring packs of Twinkies, meticulously prepared, baked and packaged by his former colleagues at the factory.

700 UW is the biggest gasbag of all posters. His lectures on the finality of the Nicolau Award are classic.

CLT Rat was always spot on.

USAPA KICKED a$$ and took names

The west boys will not be received to well in LAX and DFW from what I'm hearing,..........and yes our APA leadership is about as weak and dumb as the come, you USAPA I doubt would be much better, you boys had a crappy deal for quite a few years, unfortunately we have to many spineless pilots here from all groups, guess that's why we are at the bottom, Merry Christmas to all, don't let this place spoil it.
