It makes you wonder how we managed to retire the AWA operating certificate with getting all our passengers safely to their destinations without having a chemical engineering degree.
How do you know these airlines wanted you to work for them? 😉
How did Captain Cloyd's passengers get to their destination safely?

He must have had a chemical dependency degree.

That $6000 investment as it turns out would have had a better return than LOA-bankruptcy wages. 😉

What division of the collection of Airways that made up US Air you were hired was better than Southwest?
The 767 and 330 international division.

I still would not want to have worked for SWA, even after all that we have put up with. The pendulum swings, again. The SWA guys are not upgrading as fast as I did, didn't get to fly all of the types that I did, made much less most of my years at US, and do not have the travel benefits that I have as part of the largest airline in the world. I did not learn to fly so that I could fly the 73 my entire career. Besides, I could never swallow the Kool-Aid that they stomach. I certainly do not envy them. To each his own.

I once had a Southwest pilot on the jumpseat who mentioned that they were going to get the new 737s on the property with the CFM engines and fly transcontinental. I told him that I didn't what he got just as long as they got their pay up so that they wouldn't be dragging ours down.

Why didn't you hire on with that fabulous airline? You wouldn't be stuck in only one base, PHX, as a junior reserve F/O.

The APA was in town yesterday. They must have sent different observers making observations contrary to this particular observer. 😉
The APA has a different story when they come to your town. ;-)

Please, it isn't too late to sell these guys off. I see endless lawsuits.
The America West pilots will be stuck on their PHX island until 2018. IF they cease and disist right now with the legal actions.

That will not occur, they canot help themselves.

No doubt, as they only care about their boys, not the east or west.

How did you come up with the date of 2018? I understand that management has said at least Fall of 2016 before a joint bid would even be possible.

I was wondering if anyone has come up with a graph of time versus number of pilots affected where the Nic would no longer matter at any rate due to the attrition of LUS pilots. The gentleman with whom I just flew said 9 1/2 years, for him. It can't be much more than that. Hopefully it is dead and gone regardless and that the Mccaskill-Bond Statute will be used in SLI.  LUS and LAA certainly have no need to hurry the process. I would think that it is in the interest of management to have separate lists as long as possible due to the conflict between the three airlines. I certainly have no interest in PHX.

The words of a conspiracy nut. Emphasis on nut.
west 2004 new hires scrambled to update their LinkedIn profiles from Mesa pilots to america west then to USAirways. LinkedIn computers had difficulty computing a change from new hire to 17 yrs service in one day.....
west pilots scream Integrity from the highest peaks when east pilots legally change bargaining agents. west pilots avail themselves of legal remedy at the 9 th, cloaked in Spartan Integrity shields whilst attempting to overturn respected Judge Silver.

Are you suggesting Ucrapa's culture of corruption has influenced the ranks of the APA? I think they tell your little shirt pullers anything you want to hear to shut you up.

Hogg told me after the hearing "there will be plenty of time for that later". Michelle from Corp. Comm. gave me a ride back to the hotel.

Face it. The APA are players. Emotional people can be desperate and are thus the easiest target. The West is a target rich environment. Proof: Crewnews in PHX is propaganda money well spent. The APA caught on to the West long ago.

The West is too emotional to maintain objectivity. Don't blame others for your own vulnerability.

Have you guys not figured it out...A Liberty Tie is a useless shield in a battle of wits.

USAPA was founded on an emotional reaction to a fair process. I'll go with the APA's words rather than the Crew News to predict who is likely to get played...

Seniority Integration Protocol: The Facts

You may have seen APA's seniority integration protocol proposal last week and a subsequent USAPA Merger Committee blast accusing the APA Seniority Integration Committee of blindsiding them with a "regressive" proposal. Although we have been patient in an attempt to forge an acceptable agreement, it is now time to set the record straight on some of the misrepresentations contained in the USAPA Merger Committee blast.
To be blunt, USAPA's version of events is fiction. USAPA leadership specifically and directly solicited this latest protocol proposal from the Seniority Integration Committee. USAPA's merger counsel was also briefed on the likely content of the protocol document several days before receipt. USAPA's abject failure to communicate these facts erodes the very foundation of trust necessary for any further negotiations. It is now apparent to us, just as it was to Judge Silver in the Addington v. USAPA DFR decision, that USAPA is using these tactics, including reneging on its bargain under the MOU and litigating the McCaskill-Bond process in court, with the express goal of delaying the NMB single-carrier finding.

430 pilots marching on ALPA headquarters was an emotional reaction.

The deliberate establishment of ALPA's replacement was a calm, objective pursuit. Selling Liberty Ties is a calm, objective collection of money (from gullible people who think they can buy back what they voted into nullity.).

MB will be fair and objective. No one will win. The ones destined to lose are those who are donating money with the hope of manipulating a win.
