2000 hire Simmons was headed for furlough himself after 9-11. Newcomer Simmons has no problem stealing the careers of those hired a decade or more prior to him, and lost their jobs due to an unprecedented event. Do not stand for this coward and his cry of INTEGRITY. His job was in jeopardy as well. Others not so fortunate were sent to the streets after the 9-11 attacks. Simmons is an opportunistic fanatic he merely wants to steal your position.

 

On the bright side, this F/O will have a shiny American Airlines twenty year service certificate to hang on his hangar wall when he retires at age sixty-five. That only equates to a senior wide body captain in PHL or DFW if your former corrupt bargaining agent allows you to steal 17 years of seniority from fellow pilots by not following its own seniority integration policy.

No worries for "Sparta"/Fantasyland there, since if PHX ever poofs out of existence; they'll all find themselves magically teleported directly into the left seats of A330's/triplle 7's/whatever, and all due to a never consummated arbitration from 8+ years ago that's since been basically derided by every arbitration afterwards....Right?
