I've had the pleasure of briefly meeting Mr. Eastwood on two occasions, and from the ensuing conversations; I rather suspect he would take my side on this, and is a man fully aware of the proper place for entertainment versus reality. His far earlier "spaghetti westerns" served to grant him a launching pad, but in his later life he's produced fine works depicting at least aspects of fully serious periods of history, especially his latest "American Sniper", but Mr. Eastwood, obviously unlike your sad self, fully knows the difference between purely entertaining "This is Sparta!" sorts of childish fantasy and actual reality.
