"The harsh reality is that over the last twelve years American lost $10.3 billion and US Airways lost $3.4 billion. US Airways filed for bankruptcy twice during that period and without the merger with America West Airlines would have liquidated." USAirways response in DOJ Doc 79 page 4.
 
The part that leaves out is what P/K and all the financial community knew. Without the merger, AWE would have eventually filed and it is unlikely they could have raised the cash to exit. ATSB was all used up.

I have no idea who you are so I haven't seen you on C&R at all.
 
A New East Equipment Bid was posted this evening.  Even with a reduced flying schedule in the fall, there are 8 new Airbus 330 Captain vacancies, and 24 new Airbus 320 Captain vacancies.

Interesting. I guess Dave Simmons will be getting that 330 left seat as he promised us. This fall. Your thoughts Dave. Were you lying or telling the truth when you promised us you would be in PHL this fall.

Why isn't PHX showing up on this Bid 15-4?
They claimed they would be bidding over immediately....

Soon, where is the PHX bid?

If anyone else is having the problem, I was able to find the article in the Phoenix Business Journal by Googling: American Airlines Internation Flights Phoenix.  You eventually end up at the exact same link anyway, but the article is there.  More typically-Phoenix whining.

Attrition is in high gear on the East.  After a continuation of the high rate of attrition through the winter reduced schedule, the base bids in the Spring of 2016 should be an eye-popper of progression for the East pilots.
 
Unless, of course, the SLI is completed by then.   HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Since then, it's been proven time and again where the value was in the merger between US and AWA. Now the AA pilots are getting an eyeful of NICs handiwork and they are NOT impressed. Hopefully this panel will make sense out of all of this. They have great reputations and I trust that they will do this right.
 
Name calling destroys what little is left of your credibility.

Certainly not Nicolau.  You got the top 517, then a ratio in status that also favored the east. (i.e. the east owns the top HALF of the Nic)  Gee, how "worthless" is that?
 
The Nic is more than fair and equitable toward the east pilot group.  
 
I also trust that the current arbitration panel will do this right.  The Nic, ( the only valid system seniority list for all LCC pilots) will be combined with the AA list.
