It looks like Friedriches vs. California Teachers Association will be heard and if Alito gets his way, no more germane dues and the money they need to survive will be siphoned away. Then all you'll have then is labor suing labor, just like here. The labor movement is collapsing and this company knows it. I'm going to do whatever it takes to help American be number one now and you guys can fight for the scraps. Seniority has no meaning other than to those who believe there entitled rather than earn it. So be it.

The very best the current crop of hopeless village idiots could apparently manage was a pitifully surrendered and fully concessionary "contract"...even during a time of previously unimaginable and never before even dreamed of industry profits. Sigh...No matter for me. I'm just an old dinosaur on the way to the tar pits. I'll sadly give this "Brave New World" to it's pathetic creators.....Enjoy kids, and a fine thing it is indeed that you're all so obviously "smart"....

Exactly right.  APA/West:  The "best of the best of the best."  Your dues money is wasted money.  It's better if you just flushed it down the toilet....you'd see a better "ROI".

The process moves along towards SLI and combined ops regardless of an appeal to the SCOTUS. The no bump, no flush means stagnation for those who upgraded out of order until those pilots denied their seats have upgraded.
 
 
"The original SLI timeline would have had the award likely issue in January - February 2016, several months in advance of the companys anticipated integration timeline. The modified SLI timeline now projects an award in March - April 2016, only two months behind the original schedule, and still well in advance of the company's anticipated integration timeline. Additionally, the award gives quite a bit of weight to our legitimate timing concerns, and goes even further to put APA and the new East Committee on notice regarding potential future delays by stating 'the Board is prepared to proceed in the event that a new Merger Committee to represent the East pilots is not created in sufficient time to participate in the arbitration process pursuant to the revised schedule ...." The award explains its rationale as follows:

What exactly does PHX "bring" in that regard?...And the APA has far more draconian notions in mind anyway, although I've no doubt that's entirely escaped the extremely limited confines of even your best-ever-attempted...umm...."conscious thought".

What does PHX bring?..um. same thing DCA brings...same thing PHL brings..same thing CLT brings.  You are confused over the identity of the PHX base.  We got a seperate merger committee because usapa was a SCAB union unable to represent the West, not because the West is a seperate airline in the merger.
 
Some 310 A320 series a/c and 34 A330 A/C a few 737s and 190s and orders for the 350s.  Although the nAAtives are already claiming rights to the 350 orders.  That is what PHX brings.

This from a guy who helped found a scab union whose position on seniority was it is like "crew meals", easily changed at the majority's whim during contract negotiations.

I'm saying that I don't care about seniority anymore. I only care about my job, not yours. So when you guys want contract improvements in 2020 you can count me out.

I'm taking what the company gives me (my individual minority) and if I DONT LIKE IT then I'll just retire. I'm just in this job for the benefits now, anyway. So I fly when the company wants me. You call me a scab. So I'm a scab. So what? What difference does it make anymore?
