News flash...SLI process already started..remember?  The east committee has til Sept to figure out how they are gonna advocate for the Nic.
 
As for the MOU and PA.....The West is counting on them!  Perhaps you remember the West voted 98% in favor of the MOU to ditch the scab union AND won a seat at the table via the PA.

According to the posts on the APA C&R, I don't think the LAA Natives are seeing the "Good News" in this the way you do.... Just doing the math, if you start with the LAA98 (never furloughed) guys down to there last and add the East pilots, you might have enough to vote out APA....
Needless to say there will be some serious head scratching, to figure out how to keep the later half of the AA Natives from suffering the fate of the Nic...

Voting out the APA post SLI has exactly zero chance of changing an already arbitrated "final and binding" seniority list.

The nAAtives have absolutely nothing to fear from the Nic, or a Nic style integration in this round.  They have the advantage with this methodology.  The fact that the east effed over the LUS pilot group by scabbing on LOA93 for a decade makes it a slam dunk for the nAAtives to weigh the status in their favor.
 
The Nic is an equipment and status ratioed list, and that is what is coming for AAL.  The BS on the C&R about '98 hires getting knocked down to 190 F/O is plain BS FUD.
 
From what I have read on the C&R, there is no huge nAAtive outcry over the Nic. However, there is some angst against the West MC proposal.  Totally understandable, but the West is not gonna get our way with the arbitrators either.  None of the groups will, it will end up equipment and status and the nAAtives have the advantage, the West gets the Nic, and the east gets the Nic(which is way more than they deserved in the first place) and the jobs they stole at LCC with no bump flush.
