Got a kick out of the PHX meeting. I see where one PHX pilot wants a hotel that will serve him breakfast before 5am, Holiday Inns are evil, and he is losing $7,000 per month in his imaginary position!

Well show me your math because apparently you were absent that day, yeah and handing those positions to pilots hired 11 years after ones that actually brought that flying to a merger I would say a windfall to the WEST, My guess is a good read on the arbs that will actually hear this case under rules that actually apply would be better reading! A good read would be ALPA,s position in the BREEGER, ! Funny no you will not see me or 600+ good Union pilots at the table, just you and your band of backhanded, shady deal making at work, which we all know is in the works! And about that 750k, man I could have sure bought a lot of ties! MM
You see Boo, that's where you're mistaken. It's not math, it's ETHICS.

If a party agrees to a process & product of that process, THEN do everything in my power to renege on that agreement.....AND use your money to accomplish that delay....Well, that makes that party a miserable, contemptible, lying, thieving DIRTBAG.

Pretty simple stuff.

Retired? You guys gonna drop it like that? Is there no one left that can take up that mantle and carry on the rain coat fight?

Anyone?
Next time I am in Alaska, I will let him know that his admirers miss him. 😉

I don't think he will appreciate knowing he is more appreciated by East pilots than by West pilots.

US Airways likely to stop flying this fall

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — After more than 75 years of flying, the end is near for US Airways.

It should have happened 10 years ago.

Good riddance!

The process was addressed in the CAL UAL integration as flawed, your highness.
You should have known it could be overturned, and were warned. Overturned it was.
Scott Kirby has tired of his awa pilots. You are now an annoyance to everyone.

The East MEC offer would have put Dave ODell ahead of approximately 400 east pilots (not a typo four hundred). The East MECs offer was furloughs based on longevity, months of active mainline service.

Thats right, guys. They were desperate to save ALPA and their cushy union jobs. The polling must have told them their plan would save ALPA. For sure their proposal would SAVE DAVE from furlough.

Just like in the B-757 IOU, the E-190 arbitration IOU and unbalanced East-West flying, our MEC ended up getting 175 West pilots furloughed, because they refused to negotiate and THEY TURNED DOWN THE OFFER!

From what weve been told, Jeff Freund left the Wye River conference out of frustration over our MECs refusal to negotiate a compromise. Our MEC says they held the line. If failure to negotiate, causing 175 furloughs, is holding the line, great job, guys. The East MEC made an offer that would have prevented Dave ODell from being furloughed. You turned it down.

Could ALPA have been saved with a consensual agreement? Could that 29% have changed their minds with a compromise agreement? After the Friday Night Massacre, was there any hope of even getting a 50/50 split of the East undecideds? Well never know. But we do know one thing. There was one elephant in the room that Garland didnt even see: the 29%.

In closing, we are reminded of Proverbs 16:18Pride goeth before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall.

David Simmons FAILED miserably as a PHX rep due to his lack of understanding of RLA law.
east pilots have masterfully out maneuvered Leonidas in every battle.
west pilots continue to destroy their future with the ball and chain of the unattainable Nicolau around their collective ankles.
The pursuit of it will drain their finances and result in endless angst.

Before you call anybody a dirtbag Mr. Integrity:

The profitability road that we are on is squarely on the backs of the AAA pilots. And as the breakdown of the second quarter financials indicate, the AWA portion of the operation continues to show a loss. This makes it all the more disheartening to learn that the AWA MEC approached management and relayed that the "West pilots would be outraged if the East was granted parity." Such sentiment sinks to a level that is not representative of our profession or of unionism at its most basic form. The inescapable reality remains that we make less for doing the same job. And our bankruptcy-garnered wages continue to generate a stockpile of cash even during a period when our operation is at an all-time low."

If the leadership of the AWA MEC "would be outraged if the East was granted parity" would anybody be surprised if ALPA National placed the AWA MEC into trusteeship and appointed true union leaders to run their affairs?

The AWA MEC should be ashamed.

My, my..you sure are an angry little man, aren't you? Your continued attempts at revising history are just SAD. I sure hope you can accept THIS arbitration, and do so with some sort of professionalism.

See you at the table, Troll.

He got under your skin (and all he did was quote a west pilot). Try to play it cool next time.

It was never about the arbitration (as Marty has easily persuaded west pilots to assume) but has always been about the enforceable terms of the contract. Always will be.
